5614 Posted April 17, 2006 Share Posted April 17, 2006 An image taken by the Mars Express spacecraft has photographed a crater which looks like it has a smiling face inside it. The 230km (or 143 mile) wide crater was first observed by NASA's Viking Orbiter 1 mission. Proof that life existed on mars in the past. who else could they have dug the "craters" into the shape of a smilely face. I'm of the opinion that the aliens wanted us to to be unafraid of our Martian neighbors... hence the unfrightening happy face. For further proof, you gotta zoom out a little on the crater.
