Top 5 favourite comedy programmes...

Featured Replies

Doesn't have to be in any particular order, but what are your top 5 favourite TV comedy shows...

To date mine are : Brass Eye (Chris Morris taking satire to the extreme.) actually I'm going to have Chris Morris as one choice because 'Jam', and 'Day to Day' are also up there.

Family Guy, The Thick of It, Blackadder (I used to love the second series in my younger days.) and The Simpsons.

"The Now Show"

"quote unquote"

"just a minute"

all these are Radio programs, sorry but I listen to more radio than watch TV. here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/

for TV, it would have to be "The Goodies" and "Whos line is it Anyway".

that`s my 5, there are others I like too.

Guess I should change it to just 'top 5 comedy shows'...for anyone else who doesn't watch much TV.

Do, do, do, the funky gibbon ;)

yeah, sorry about that, but I really don`t watch all that much TV unless its documentaries or a series that I might have accidently "gotten into".

"The Good Life"

"Red Dwarf"

and "Bottom" would make up the other 3 if I`m to be fair to your question.

Family Guy, Futurama, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Monty Python's Flying Circus, and NPR's What Do You Know (or Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, I can never tell the difference)

In no particular order

Black Books

Never Mind The Buzzcocks

Black Adder

QI

Have I Got News For You

I'd put Python in there but I've not seen much of flying circus, just the films.

The Daily Show

South Park

South Park kicks ass.

south park

viva la bam

blue collar

beevis and butthead

5 people.

Futurama, family guy, simpsons, comedy central presents, mad tv.

Trailer Park Boys

The Young Ones

Chappelle's Show

South Park

Family Guy

The Office

Family guy

The Simpsons

15 stories high

Blackadder

Yes' date=' Minister/Yes, Prime Minister

have I got news for you

spaced

Men behaving badly

Peep show

Good radio shows YT :)[/quote']

Can't believe I forgot peep show, in fact thats gonna be my number two.

Simpsons, Friends, Scrubs, South Park, Dave the Barbarian

-edit-

gah, i forgot, Whose Line is it Anyway has to be added to that list... but it's not a sitcom, it's Improv... geh, either way strike Dave from my original choices.

Friends

Bottom

Simpsons (I'm sure it's not technically a comedy, but hey!)

Black Adder

Family guy (which seems the most popular so far)

There's so many that are equally up there with my top 5 I'd forgotten about...

The Young Ones, The New Statesman, Comic Strip, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, Scrubs, Spaced, South Park, Black Books, Have I got News for You, Alexi Sayle (his own show...can't remember the name, probably The Alexi Sayle Show:) and I always catch Never Mind the Buzzcocks for some Monday relief...christ, I watch far too much telly.

Oh, I forgot the all-time greatest sitcom ever made... All in the Family

And one of the wittiest shows to make fun fun of the sitcom, even if their audience was oblivious... Married with Children

1. The Daily Show

2. The Colbert Report

3. Family Guy

4. Seinfeld

5. Stella (I can't believe they cancelled it! Ridiculous! They only played like 6 episodes!)

While we're at it, why not top 5 comedy movies? This might already be a thread somewhere though, I'm not sure.

1. Airplane!

2. The Naked Gun 33 1/3

3. Hot Shots Part Deux

4. Dr. Strangelove

5. Airplane! 2

Family Guy, Curb your Enthusiasm, The Daily Show, Futurama
