The way i think about planets what happens when people sleep and human kind

Featured Replies

First of all, I just want to say this is not true—just a theory. At all costs, this is simply a way I think. It’s not based on truth, but maybe it could be.

So, I was trying to figure out why we exist. Long story short, I got burnt out on that topic.

Let’s talk about something different today—and it's about people when they sleep.

I have this thought: when people sleep, they teleport out of their "container." A container, in this idea, could be something like an MP4 file—just a shell, and inside is the real content.

So what ends up happening when we sleep is that the actual spirit or being gets teleported to another planet or zone. And while they’re there, it makes me think—when it’s daytime, people are out on the streets, the world comes alive. When people get on a plane, they reach another country they’ve never experienced. The same concept happens with humans when they sleep. Instead of just traveling to another country or zone, they teleport to another planet.

Each planet, in this theory, belongs to a different group of people. And within that, there’s a galaxy filled with individual planets—each representing a unique person. The world we call Earth might just be a "neutral planet," a shared space for many different groups and individuals.

So why do people sleep? Maybe it's because humans are machines—but it’s just not seen that way yet. That’s only because technology hasn’t reached the right timestamp. But we already have proof in modern prosthetics. Some might think prosthetics are just tools or enhancements, but in the future, as materials like metal, plastic, and chemicals improve, these enhancements will change the way we view ourselves. We will become more machine-like.

People don’t think humans are machines because, as of the timestamp 4/23/2025, most of our bodies aren’t yet enhanced with tech that can, for example, boost running speed. But think about it: a nuclear submarine runs not on batteries like an electric scooter or phone, but on nuclear energy—an advanced source of power.

Let’s say, when a human sleeps, he leaves the "empty" nighttime streets and travels to a planet that matches his group’s DNA or soul-type. Then, by morning, he teleports back into his body and returns to Earth, this neutral world filled with a mix of cultures and people.

Sometimes I think the biggest proof we are machines is stress. If you overthink or stress out your brain (which is like your CPU), you age faster—you get white hair or wrinkles. It’s similar to a computer overheating and frying its CPU if it doesn’t have proper cooling. That used to be common in older computers.

And if you drink too much, your liver breaks down—just like a part of a machine malfunctioning under the wrong conditions. So, looking at the future with prosthetics, chemical enhancements, and advanced energy sources, it feels like we are slowly transforming into machines.

Instead of just using traditional machines to run the world, we may eventually use chemicals and tech to enhance ourselves. Just like nuclear power keeps submarines running for decades, future humans might run on enhancements that last lifetimes.

But overall, this was just a theory—an idea that came from wondering: Where do we go when we sleep? Why is the world so alive only in the daytime?

That’s all. Thank you.

Theory is the strongest explanation science has, so please don't say "just a theory". Also, you don't have a theory. Theory isn't guesswork or throwing something against the wall to see if it sticks. A theory has to explain a phenomenon based on observation and experimentation, and a good model of where it's applicable.

Truth is definitely not a goal in science, since what is "true" is very subjective.

You need to define "spirit", but it sounds like something tangible, so why don't we experience differences in our measurements when people are asleep? In the last 30 years or so, sleep studies have gained an enormous amount of data wrt what's going on when we sleep. None of it suggests any part of us is missing when we sleep.

I think you've taken the "humans are like machines" analogy too far. We're NOT machines, we're biological animals with species-specific skills that seem special in comparison, but we still just use our abilities to adapt to wherever our environment happens to be. You're also mixing up religious terminology with science, requiring souls and "DNA types" (whatever that is). If you want to persuade anyone with this concept, you need more clarity.

But our brains are electrochemical in nature, not electronic. Stress hormones like cortisol are responsible, not overheating. Analogies all break down at a certain point. If you want to learn more about biology, study biology, not computer science.

Question & Answer 1:

Question:
Why do people confuse ideas with theories?

Answer:
Sorry Phi of Ali (moderator from scienceforums.net), I'll try to explain this the best way I can. I see what you mean — a lot of people think about an idea, then try to explore or test it. As more scientists and philosophers consider it and begin to gather supporting evidence, it can become a theory. On the other hand, if there's only partial or weak evidence, it's not quite a theory yet. Personally, I don't think anyone else has thought of this specific idea like I have, but I understand where you're coming from — this isn't a theory after all.

Statement:
"Truth is definitely not a goal in science, since what is 'true' is very subjective."

Answer:
This one's harder. I couldn't figure it out completely — maybe it's more about pure science rather than trying to define truth.

Question & Answer 2:

Question:
"You need to define 'spirit', but it sounds like something tangible. So why don't we see differences in measurements when people sleep? Sleep studies over the last 30 years show nothing is 'missing' when we sleep."

Answer:
Okay, for this one, think of it like this: before you do something, your brain talks to you. You mentally ask yourself, “Should I do this or not?” — this internal debate happens in many actions. Sometimes we act immediately, sometimes we pause and reflect. I think of this as three categories of thought.

Now, imagine our body as a "container," like an MP4 file — and we are the content inside. Whatever is inside us (spirit, soul, consciousness) isn’t flesh or brain matter. I don't know what a soul or spirit is exactly, but most would agree we have something more than just a body.

At night, the world shuts down — around 3:30 AM it's silent. People are active during the day, but why is that? I don’t know the full truth, but I’ve thought deeply about sleep. I started to believe that when people sleep, maybe their spirit or soul travels somewhere else. I don’t follow any religion, but I do believe there's something beyond the physical. I lean more toward science, but that doesn’t mean we’ve explained everything yet.

Question & Answer 3:

Question:
"Humans are like machines" — is that analogy going too far?

Answer:
Here’s how I see it: “Machine” is just a human-made word. There are mechanical machines, and then there are human "machines." Our bodies run on chemistry — like medicine affecting us metabolically and chemically. Compare that to fixing a mechanical machine with bolts or oil like WD-40.

Now, we’re already using prosthetics. In the future, I believe these won’t be metal or plastic — they’ll be made from living tissues, like 3D-printed organs from real cells. Scientists already grow hearts in petri dishes, which can match a person’s DNA. That’s not far off from building human components.

So when I say humans are machines, I mean our bodies can be enhanced and fixed — not with metal — but with biology, with medicine. Think of how we treat the flu: caffeine mixed with medicine — that’s an enhancement. Similarly, future prosthetics may be biological, not mechanical.

Even energy: A small lithium battery might power a submarine for 10 minutes, but nuclear energy powers it for 10 years. That’s what I mean — we’re just at the beginning of enhancing humans biologically rather than mechanically. That’s why I use the machine analogy. It’s not wrong — just not literal.

Question & Answer 4:

Question:
“But our brains are electrochemical, not electronic. Stress hormones like cortisol are responsible, not overheating. Analogies break down. Want to learn biology? Study biology, not computer science.”

Answer:
Yeah, this is similar to my previous answer. Our brain is like a CPU, and our heart is like a GPU. When we take substances like cigarettes or alcohol, we feel damage in specific organs — like the liver or lungs. It's all part of the "system."

Like I said earlier: we're feeding our "human machine" metal and plastic prosthetics right now. But as science progresses, we’ll create organic, bio-matched limbs and organs. So I stand by the analogy — humans are machines, but powered by biology and chemistry rather than electronics and wires.

answer:

ok for this one think about it like this before you act and do something your brain talks to you you try to battle your mind and talk to your self if i should do this action or should i not do it that is generally what ahppens before you do something you ask your self yes or no then do it on another example you just do it and the last one you do it but multi task this is broken down into 3 categories i think what happens in your brain so when ever you sleep the main person thats in the container like mp4 you are the content not your container but like what ever is in your brain he is not flesh or your brain i dont know what a soul is i dont know what a spirit is but we can all agree that we have a container wich is our body and we have the part ( soul or spirit ) that always ask our selves the 3 caategories i mentioned either 3 things happen before you do an action thats why i always thought that our bodies are containers and its very skeptical in each country that everything shutdowns in the night time dark at night 3:30 am in the morning its pitch dark why does everyone walk and run around in the day time i dont know the truth i to am wondering just thoguht about this sleep thing and guessed that people when they sleep either spirit our soul goes to another planet i dont believe in religion at all but i believe thjeres somethjing in humain containers i believe more in science

question

"humans are like machines" analogy too far. We're NOT machines, we're biological "

answer:

so this is what i think i can answer machines is just a word created by a human but what it comes down to lets just say there are metal machines and human machines except the human is using checmicals to create biologoical huiman so if you take a medicine it reaction metaboloically and checmically to your human machine body where as you fix a machine with a bolt or a torque wrench or even wd40 to make the rust gear componets become better smoother for it to glide on the corner so what im saying is only right now prostethic limbs we have seen people with things that are not humans but in the future these porstehtic limbs wont be plastic or metal they will be human flesh like for example scientist creating hearts out of 3d printers only that it doesnt have titanium its actually human cells or people create a peatry dish and they clone a heart to fit some one with the same dna then grow it like a tree except this time its a heart so what im saying is humans are machines is just a word but in reality later in the future enhancements might come in a form not metal and plastic limbs but from medicine or liquid to enhance our health like we do now when we get sick we drink caffeene mixed with flu cold medicine this is a cure but we dont see that this is an enhancement or we dont see that inn the future a prostethic limb wont be metal or plastic but an actual metabolic or biological limb so close to the real thing thats what i was reffering towards humans are machines for example if i take a lithium battery and power subamrine it can run 10 minutes if the lithium is huge the battery but then i give the submarine nuclear technology as an energy source it can now run for 10 years certain energy like nuclear is fueling the submarine in a better way the same thing is with a human machine we are only feeding it metal and plastic technology that exist today like a half metal half plastic limb prostethic but in reality if we create organs and hands and feet for epople in accidents we are feeding it metabolic and biological close to the real thing thats why i think we are machines and machines is just a word made by humans so i just relate real things and machines together because i dont see a difference

answer : oh this one is the same as the previous answer basically we have parts in a human brain cpu heart is gpu and when ever we dont work we streamline years with black hair as soon as youu damage your self with substances your stress from school or work with cigs or liquor wich attack your liver or lungs you feel the results of toxics in those organ areas this question is kind of like previous answer ill quote some lines " same thing is with a human machine we are only feeding it metal and plastic technology that exist today like a half metal half plastic limb prostethic but in reality if we create organs and hands and feet for epople in accidents we are feeding it metabolic and biological close to the real thing thats why i think we are machines and machines is just a word made by humans so i just relate real things and machines together because i dont see a difference "

There is no need to post your rough draft.

sorry swansont moderator of scienceforums i didnt know

Another point is that humans aren't machines in the traditional sense, but we are biological machines. You get white hair due to cortisol from stress — that's why people age or develop white hair. The main reason we sleep is so our CPU (the brain) and GPU (the heart) can rest. When we sleep, the body heals. Have you ever tried staying awake for a full day? By the second day, you're tired, and that's when your body heals and restores energy through sleep.

You seem confused, all machines wear out, so what's your point?
