Is there a simple way to send phone messages to PC

IMHO the simplest/easiest way would be to write your own smartphone app to do it.. ;)

1) I use Samsung.

Which model? Which OS version?

2) I and my friend txt to each other often.

Great.

3) I want to make all those messages into one file, and send it to my PC.

..years, years ago I wrote such an application that exports SMS to CSV file.. then I find out that Google no longer allows you to upload such applications that read/write SMS to the Google Play Store, so project was cancelled and remains only on my obsolete disks..

Start from learning about adb

https://developer.android.com/tools/adb

It can upload files to the device, download files from the device

Mac computers have a messaging app that syncs with your phone’s text messages, if everyone involved has an iphone. That’s what this looks like.

There might be such capability for Android. One would have to avail themselves of a search engine to find out.

This is the instruction I wrote to myself, (for when I forget it). It works fine for me.

Using onenote :  (This works great once you have it going)
Go to text. Long tap the message, select copy.
Go to onenote. Select "texts"page.
Long tap the blank page. Use "paste"
Now open onenote on the pc
The text should be there. Copy it, and delete
leaving "texts" blank for next message

This reminded me that there is such a proprietary Samsung app, Kies:

https://www.samsung.com/levant/support/kies/

"How To Transfer Text Messages From Samsung to PC"

"Step 1: Download and install Samsung Kies on your computer. Step 2: Connect your Samsung mobile device to your computer using a USB cable. Step 3: Open Samsung Kies and wait for it to recognize your device. Step 4: Click on the "Backup/Restore" tab, then select "Messages" and click on "Backup"."

Google drive transfer text messages:

To me it looks like a simple screenshot.. Then you paste the image into an email and send it to yourself, then open the image on your computer.. No 3rd party app is needed on any machine.

A screenshot of the Message app on a Mac. It looks like what I have on mine.

edit:

here's a screenshot from Messages on my computer

The header, though, suggests the snapshot is from an iphone or ipad
