MigL Posted January 3, 2020 Share Posted January 3, 2020 You can google it. Basically an alkyl group takes the form CnH2n+1 where n is an integer. That means the first and last choices contain an alkyl group. A halide, on the other hand, belongs to the 2nd last column of the periodic table, and is missing an electron from its outer valence shell.
