Takes away the "simple" cause maybe it aint a simple concept to them, but nonetheless can still be explained. I mean that is how we all learn in the first place right.

Can someone explain to me how "curmudgeon" status is attained?

I've got a lot more neg rep points than that et pet dude, yet he enjoys the much coveted curmudgeon status.

I thought it meant mardy bugger.

Could be. In US use, it's a grumpy (usually older) person; someone who is set in their ways and finds fault in everything.

We have no badgers. In fact, we don't need badgers. I don't have to show you any stinking badgers!
