Deified
I saw god is nowhere. Perhaps this comes from my rabid atheism?
6431hoho
I saw "God is a whore", then "God is now here" Maybe it's because I'm ESL.
atinymonkey
Electronic Sports League? Eastman Savings and Loan? Electronic Shelf Label? Emergency Service Level? Energy Systems Laboratory? AzurePhoenix
God is nowhere. I had to reread it and break it apart six times to see the "god is now here" (and that's only because I gave up and peeked)
YT2095
and the reason is because of how the brain works, it TRIES to make sense of things as soon as possible, and so it`ll take each letter at a time until it makes a word, then move on until it gets another word and so forth... the test reveals only that, and nothing else, don`t be fooled! tekHneEk
Considering everyone in here read that sentence from left to right... I saw "GOD" first. Assuming you read sentences the way you were taught to. That is, from left to right.
tekHneEk
By the way, creationists see "God is now here." and Evolutionists see "God is nowhere." by nature, you have to take the latter if you don't believe in creation, and vice versa. I just noticed it's the "Rule of thumb."
ydoaPs
Considering everyone in here read that sentence from left to right... I saw "GOD" first. Assuming you read sentences the way you were taught to. That is, from left to right.that isn't true for all people at SFN. iirc, many of the people here were first taught a defferent language. and many of those are languages that go the other way such as arabic. By the way, creationists see "God is now here." and Evolutionists see "God is nowhere." by nature, you have to take the latter if you don't believe in creation, and vice versa. I just noticed it's the "Rule of thumb." not necesarily true
573v3
and the reason is because of how the brain works, it TRIES to make sense of things as soon as possible, and so it`ll take each letter at a time until it makes a word, then move on until it gets another word and so forth... Hmmm, I think it will be more likely to be due to the fact that only 2 splits have to be made to see "god is nowhere" apposed to 3 splits to recognise "God is now here". See, it's just easyer. Daecon
I first read it with only two (missing) spaces: God Is Nowhere. Then, knowing it was supposed to be some kind of game - I looked to see other possible combinations which is when I saw "God Is Now Here".
Paul Callan
I see an unimaginative thread about a phrase that showed up on an ABC TV Series called "Miracles" a few years back. If you haven't seen it (which I'm guessing most of you have not since you responded giving this thread credibility) I recommend it. It is available on DVD... You can even rent it at Netflix. Here's the real "Brain Teasers and Puzzle" - Why are the "enlightened" and "open-minded" always so quick to dismiss theology? Wouldn't the "open-mindedness" preclude the dismissal? Daecon
You could have the same sort of phrase on display in a café: SAUSAGESARENOWHERE Who cares if the first word is "God" or not?
