I've seen a distorting fairground mirror that was adjustable. Just an aluminised mylar front on a sealed box, connected to a foot pump. Pump air in, you get a convex mirror. Out and it's concave.

I think it is possible.

I have only asked the Question and I think the Idea is new !

Our Brilliant Scientists will find the method fast !

Of course it's possible.

But, like your glasses every prescription would be individual and different.

To date I only know of it being done for optical astronomical telescopes that use mirrors.

But this is at enormous(tachio :)  ) expense.

With the technology of modern flexible coatings for clothing, I can see it being possible more cheaply but would still need the personal tailoring part.
Since this modern technology enables wearable computers, perhaps it could incorporate an adaptive solution.

That's nice. I think a similar contraption could be made with Generic Adjustability !

!

Then explain how. Or ask the question of how one might do this. As it stands, there is no science or engineering being discussed, and this is posted in engineering.

Stop arguing and get on with it.

Never argue with the ref.  ;)

I was looking for a suitable category to post it to.

The Idea is Physics & the suggested implementation is Engineering !

What should I have done ?

!

Moderator Note

You should have either posted (1) your attempt at a solution, or (2) asked for others' input for a solution. As I have already explained.

It's either option 1 or 2. Am I not being clear on this?
