Why do red blood cells cannot diffuse across the cell membrane just like other cells?

Why cant RBCs diffuse across other cell membrane just like other cells ?

This question has been bugging me for days and I've scratched my head way too much🙈😹 . I read about it and about the interstitial fluid in the tissues could be the reason why they don't diffuse in tissue cell membrane.. but I'm not just satisfied so can anyone please help,?

I am confused my friend. Which cells diffuse through other cells? Please clarify and more people will answer.

I'm also a bit confused. Only thing I can think of, but that wouldn't be transmembraneous diffusion, but transepitheliar "diffusion", is the invasion of enteric/colic bacteria; think of Salmonella spp. inducing broadening of transepitheliar gaps between the epithelium of your intestines to enter the body and cause mayhem.

RBCs do not have the necessary receptors to mediate transendothelial migration (unlike, for example, Leukocytes).

Bear in mind that leukocytes also do not migrate through the cells but much rather find a gap between the cells.

See the schematic below:
