  1. Units must be the same on both sides of the equation. I use this page for conversions: http://www.onlineconversion.com/pressure.htm But, sometimes I must look in Wikipedia to know the units (e.g, Pa units). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal_%28unit%29
  2. First, you should have posted in the homework forum. Second, few people on this forum will help you unless you show that you have at least tried to solve your homework. They want to know exactly what has you stumped, and will help get you past your misunderstanding. Third, each different homework problem should be in a different thread in the homework forum. Otherwise, people get confused about which problem is being worked as different people help with the different problems. I might be able to help you with some of these, but cannot help with all, as I haven't used calculus since the 1970s. But, there are people here who can, PhD professors I believe. I assure you, few of them will help until you show you are willing to try. Neither will I.
  3. I just read the wikipedia page describing the phenomena (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resonance_Hybrid). I think the answer is yes, but am unable to answer why. Sorry. I hope someone else is online to help you
  4. Of course I am concerned about children born with horrible genetic diseases, but until recently parents did not know they were carriers and could not be held responsible. Thru the miracle of modern science, parents can know they are carriers. This knowledge is powerful and creates a dilemma for society. However, scientists continue research, and my hope is that cures for genetic diseases will be found. If (when) this occurs, the laws you propose would become obsolete. Thus, I believe we should wait for science to help. And, if science comes through, these genetic diseases will be eradicated.
  5. Three dimensions can be divided into cubes, and each cube can be divided into smaller equally sized cubes, for example 1000 by dividing each dimension into ten equal segments. If you use 12 dodecahedra (instead of spheres) it may be possible to divide a dodecahedron into an equal number of smaller dodecahedra (need a mathematician). If you can, the number may not be divisible by 10, which means using another base, rather than base 10, to represent coordinates. Your system is difficult to imagine; thus, it will not be popular. If another number base is required, it will be further complicated. It is an interesting puzzle.
  6. To find the best efficiency would take some experimentation and/or research; although, you might find someone who already knows; I do not know. Nevertheless, you may or may not be able to afford the most efficient material. I would want to know how much water could theoretically be collected at 100% efficiency, the longevity of candidate materials, and other economic factors to be able to judge which is cost effective.
  7. You are on the right track, the answer depends on whether your assumptions are accurate.
  8. How much moisture is there in the air? You must know this data to understand how big a collection collector you need, and how fast the wind (or fan) needs to move the air through your collector.
  9. It is significant that this thread, i.e., "Which energy source is going to replace Petroleum??!," has been hijacked by those of us who are concerned about oil not being used or being unavailable or whatever. The cost of US imported oil in 2012 has been reported to be $434,000,000,000. That money is paid to foreign workers, instead of US workers. That is 40% of the federal deficit. It is curious no one seems to care.
  10. Welcome to SFN I have no idea, in general water is good for people, but it can contain pathogens. It may be coincidence that you got sick at the same time you started drinking water. I hope you feel better, soon.
  11. Ort Cloud http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ort_cloud
  12. That kind of thing would probably get a lot of people calling you unpleasant names, and IMO politicians would run away from the issue.
  13. The future is uncertain, but many say nanotechnology is an upcoming field. How much chemistry is involved, I do not know. However, these videos seems relevant, but not much physics (sorry):
  14. You have made an ambitious task for yourself, I wish you luck. I think I have exhausted whatever help I might provide. I am quite interested in the brain and artificial intelligence research, because I feel that scientific research can benefit from AI. While consciousness is interesting, it is not a personal quest. If I find something you might be interested in, I will send you a message via this forum.
  15. I hope we did not confuse him.
  16. He may not have figured out how to use "View new content."
  17. we can see your posts and duplicates
  18. I am unable to help on this one, but you should show whatever you can to show people you are trying. Explain exactly where you do not understand. Moreover, if you do not show that you have at least tried to solve a problem, I will not help.
  19. You should post in the Homework forum. Show as much work as you can when you post. Most people do not want to do your homework, but do want to help you do it.
  20. Is this homework? What do you know about it?
  21. you already posted this and have two responses
  22. Is this homework? You should tell what progress you have made. People here prefer to help with homework, not give final answers.
  23. Is this homework? Do you have a question? What do you know about these equations?
  24. I did not mean to imply otherwise. I have read CERN is way to small, and maybe nothing on earth similar to CERN can ever be big enough. But, this discussion should be in another thread, I think. Although, I am too ignorant to continue further.
