To suppose melting something can only happen if you can make it fuse afterwards is wrong . I have melted enough steel to know that is a fact . When the steel melted it was melted . When it fused afterwards this did not suddenly validate the melting .

I fail to see the relevance of this. People are commenting that one negative confusing aspect of having one time on the clock everywhere would be not knowing what people somewhere else are doing . My micro example can be extended to a macro example . Let's all have lunch - time twice per day to partly solve that little problem .

Famines are not always in Africa . From 1845 - 1852 1 million people died in Ireland . This famine was because the people were mostly dependent on one food for their nourishment , potato , when it rained and rained and got diseased for a few years they had no food and died .

Athena , I grew four spanish tomato plants and three of them were left outside to get the weather while one was kept indoors . Over 15 weeks the plant indoors grew to probably five times what the plants outdoors did in volume terms . Sun damage outdoors gives burnt leaves , a pane of glass can help a lot but doesn't eradicate it , wind snaps branches even though tomato plants are strong and flexible , rain is good but too much washes all the nutrients away and the temperature outside is not as stable as in the house . I'd suggest you try to keep some plants indoors or make some coverings outdoors , both is a good experiment .

Some are intelligent at some things and others at others . Narrow your method of measurement and you will not see the big picture .
