.Yes I can see what you are getting at . But I have just read Wikipedia definition and a few other descriptions . Divination is mainly the looking for signs like shape of tea leaves patterns . And or carrying out some form of ritual . My suggestion was just asking a question , outright, and asking for the answer ( little more tricky ). But the protocol or language was just tri. Three symbols .. Left right or centre. I could be signalling a traffic controller down the road ( with lights suddenly stop working ) this signal means this . That signal means that . I am not asking anybody to cut the tail off a cat and use it in a dance. I think I am quite safe , I am only asking some advanced life , one step up on humans to , signal some simple answers , 1) right 2) wrong , 3) in between . Why should we not talk to , the next higher species up from humans I do not think it was considered wrong to attempt to speak to an angel . There are several accounts of contact with and speaking to Angels . I think someone wrestled with one. And the Apostle John imprisoned on the isle of Patmos saw several Angels and was told not to bow to them as they were just fellow .. Something or others .. However it does not do wrong to warn against out and out ritualistic , looking at animals entrails and tea leaves . Dancing about like a whirling Derbeshire ! All I want is to have some simple communication with the next most intelligent creature up the intelligent Hierarchy so I can ask some technical questions about the cosmos and the structure of life within it. I am not asking a lot . I think we are even admonished to persevere with giving the guy at the top a call from time to time . .I am quite capable in testing if some potential ( voltage ) is between 6.05 volt and 6.08 volts if necessary . While dealing with gold fish and ' above human ' beings , I know of no value to measure them by.( either the fish would not stay still long enough before it died of shock . And having never seen an ' above human being' . All I can report is the SYRENDIPODOS action . In other words they are able to slightly change some natural phenomenon. ( without affecting the course of human history ) . Concerned as I was this afternoon that perhaps "should I carry on conducting this simple questioning " . I sat by the river this afternoon . Asked the question three times . Said , LEFT is NO STOP , Right is YES CARRY ON . MIDDLE is ambiguous . I sat for a moment wondering what could happen with the trees in front of me and the river. ( to make a right , left or centre ) The dog suddenly leapt out of a large grass tuft , to my RIGHT . Nearly fell off the bank . Now the deviation of the dogs path is well within the sphere of interference of a free animal , without changing the course of human history . Perhaps we have got so rigorous with 3.2056 volts that we think a " dog leaping out of grass tuft " is not rigorous . We both got up at the same time across the globe. He went into a dense Forrest . At the same time he asked his question . When he turned around to look at the path he was on . There appeared to be fallen trees that were not there when he set out. When he returned to look they had fallen over a rock that had two quartz lines that were ar right angles. Sirendipodously .

Well I know it is happening , as I have taken part in it over the last 40 years . I almost view it , like " I'll go and ask sir . How we used to handle difficult and insurmountable problems when in 6th form or early years in Uni. So for me to describe ' the HEIRACHY ' that I have been bringing up in this thread , then to give a brief guess at the structure from Gold Fish upwards , I would say it is based of some form of intelligent sensing and recognition , together with a caring measure . So if we start with the gold fish . They clearly are aware of the bugs on the bottom of the pool . Occasionally eat them , probably have little measure of care for the bugs . The fish recognise each other , and more relevant , recognise me.a measure of fear and respect but seem to enjoy being fed. They probably look with Wonder at the Image of me as they look through the water surface . I look down on them with a certain feeling of ranking . Feeding , Caring . I look up to the observing beings which clearly seem to have some form of interest in communication with me from time to time say every month or so . And for all I know have , similar tenuous communication with an unknown large or small number of other humans . Again it's not the sort of question you go around asking people or even you friends . For all I know millions or hardly anyone maybe has this distance sort of contact. I imagine we are fairly boring to the next up in the HEIRARCHY . We could now go on to suppose these observers ( perhaps they are Angels) have contact with other higher HEIRARCHY BEINGS ( perhaps they are ArchAngels . And so on and so on . Just what goes which way I am not sure , ( perhaps I should ask ) Mike .

When you are a long way away from people , which you must be or you will be categorised as crazy . Then you have exactly what you say , the world divided into three . A chunk to the left , a chunk to the right , and chunk ( one could reasonably say ) is the middle . Having stated audibly , and a few times over , your question IN THE FORM OF A STATEMENT ( like ' Is intelligent life centered at one place in the Cosmos ? ) . Then just gaze about , to the left , to the right , and to the centre area . And wait till you see something significant . Depending on which region has the first significant happening , there is your answer , ( Yes , No, or Ambiguous ) When you see something ' SIGNIFICANT HAPPENING ' , it is obvious what is significant and what is insignificant happening . Note , is it to the RIGHT , LEFT , or CENTRAL Piece of cake ! Warning , do not do this where others can see you . You will be locked up ! . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next in order HEIRACHY up above Humans . This area of the discussion lends itself well to the ones responsible for OUR observation , and any SYRENDIPODOS COMMUNICATION with is as INDIVIDUAL Humans. . No . I make sure there is no one around . Usually out in the country somewhere .or in the depths of our garden ,when nobody is home . And conditions for an undisturbed period . Besides if not I will get locked up , and carted off to a lunatic asylum . I then point out to myself and any one observing me , the three areas . I ask the deep question , by way of a statement state my statement, with three options out loud , while stating the three areas . To my right , everything from ground to sky to my right , waving my arms about , signifies a YES to my statement . All the area from ground to sky to my left represents a NO to my statement . Then waving my user hand about to middle ground to the sky , indicates a MIXTURE ambiguous , BOTH. Then wait a bit , repeating the actions and stating what represents what. Sooner or later something happens , reasonably significant in one of the three areas. There is your answer ! On this occasion you are tuned in and got your answer . Bit like a futuristic three dimensional hyper net ! That I have accidentally strayed into . It observes my question and answers automatically in the format thaI have chosen , and supplies an answer ! WA Hey ! So when I asked the question on " How did the Universe come about ? Was it Creation or Evolution , I got an emphatic answer in stone , BOTH ( MIXTURE ) , right down the middle . So perhaps there is evidence from what I have said , which has penetrated an upward step in the HEIRACHY.

.Perfectly clear. As I have developed a protocol which is clearly marked. Namely :- If it is a choice between right or wrong or mix( ambiguous ) . Right is a definite indication to the right Wrong is a definite indication to the left Mix( ambiguous ) indication central . So in the case you asked , it was a question " Is the main intelligence of the universe , centralised ( to indicate by a right hand) , or no but spread out across the universe ( to indicate by a left hand ) . If a mixture ( to indicate central ) . I was a distinct LEFT Indication . Ok . But to set the scene somewhat . I started out on a set of questions , so basic , that I could establish the basics , then build up from there . These were absolutely core questions . Eg . The very first question was " IS THERE ANYBODY THERE ? " The second question was " DID THE UNIVERSE COME ABOUT BY EVOLUTION OR CREATION ? ....... ................. .......................... And so on building up on really fundamental to me questions , ones I really , really , wanted to know , right through to today , asking today's relevant questions . The one you ask was in the middle years of all this say 15 years ago ( in total this has been over approximately 30 years. ) The question I had always been itching to know the answer to, was :- " IF THE UNIVERSE HAS INTELLIGENT BEINGS / BEING IN IT . ARE THESE INTELLIGENT(S) ALL BASED IN SOME SINGLE/CENTRAL POSITION IN THE UNIVERSE OR SPREAD OUT ACROSS THE WHOLE UNIVERSE ? " The answer was totally a surprise to me, as . Had you asked me , if I had to choose the likely answer . I would have said Central . But No . A Clear Indication of :- ALL OVER THE UNIVERSE , NOT IN ONE LOCATION . Mike

I beleive the experience I had on the moor and elsewhere over a period of many years , was / is , enough to convince me with quite an ongoing sequence of events , that left me of no doubt that :- There is something , many things that are there , unseen during the normal course of events . .not physical things , but information about things we have discussed. I do not think we can rank our Hierarchy by physical strength or fighting ability . . If that were the case, Dinosaurs and Sharks would rule the earth. My horse illustration , was merely to show the way we can interact within a Hierarchy. I think it is obvious to ALL that man is at the top of the HIERARCHY, ON earth . What we need to do now is to Suppose a higher order of life exists somewhere in the Universe . Our job is to establish contact , one way or another , in such a way , that we can work within a similar ranking as the ( goldfish to humans ) . Only because we have this as a model . If we desire to go to the complete top of the Hierarchy , in one hit , I think we will be entering the region of religion , which many people ( not all ) in the science community have difficulties with ? However if that is the way you wish to go , you can attempt that . Using the way I suggested ........example ................................. In the 1960's I was in my 20's years old . We discussed all sorts in those years . In conjunction with a friend we worked out , any life forms ( spacemen ) off worlders would NOT make themselves visible, overtly , but very obliquely . Namely , as to be almost , ' there ' but not there. We calculated that this would be an Oblique , sirendipodously , encounter. There , but almost not there. All most to be dismissed , but not to be dismissed. I left this thought for 10,s of years . But over the years into my 40,s and 50's I kept comming back to this thought. Hollywood films had shown si fi ' s with well meaning off worlders comming to earth as a normal looking human , but with powerful skills to find himself , strapped down , imprisoned , almost killed, etc , only to break free and wish the world well. ..... .... In my sixties , I found myself one day in isolation on the hills , still thinking we were being observed without visible intervention . There on that moor , I could wait no longer . Convinced there were , in some way , off world observers of a superior nature. So this was my time , my question . O.k. I said out loud . Totally alone in the middle of a moor . I just need to know , if you are actually there ( there, being somewhere observing us ) ........ I just need to know for definite. " yes or no " ( my question ) IS THERE ANYBODY THERE, surely there must be a serendipitous way , this can be communicated , please indicate some way ? ... .... .... . What sort of evidence would you require ? I can think it through from my goldfish experience . In this instance the fish seemed to have found a very simple method of receiving food from me. If they hover around in a line facing me each morning looking expectant , I will respond by throwing some fish food out to the centre of the pond . This is a simple way to express their desire to be fed from a being ' higher up the Heirachy ' . ( in this case me ) So if you or I can make a similar gesture to a supposed higher being and ' in some way appear expectant to receive what we have asked for ' , maybe we will receive what we ask for ! Knowing what to ask a superior being is the next part . Maybe with us , like the fish , it's not absolutely essential , but rather nice if it happens . I must say , I have tried it , and it appears to work . I think it is a bit like going next door to your neighbour . If you knocked on their door and said , " I don't suppose you could help me , I am keen to get hold of some bi carbonate of soda , to settle my tummy ." If they have it I am sure they would give it to you . This they would not have done without your request. Now if these superior intelligent lives out there are far more advanced than us , maybe they would have a way of hearing you . Now it's just a matter of asking for some ' knowledge or otherwise' , see what happens . Suggest you do this far away from anyone ( or you might get locked up ) . Let me know how you get on . I think where there may be some confusion is I am talking mainly about individuals or a few , as opposed to a species or bulk country or civilisation . For example me (Mike ) and a few goldfish ( nameless ) going down , and me ( mike ) and who/whatever is capable of observing and even feeding me information, from the HEIRACY individual/s upstream . I am not sure about all these negatives and double negatives. . I would sooner, take the optimistic , double positive route, in that way there is a double chance of finding something and a single chance , ' one ' could be proved wrong . This way you open all stops for a good result ! Perhaps there is some form of 'as yet undescovered rule ' in this Heirachy mechanism for semi intelligent life . Perhaps ' encouragement is an ingredient for success . Eg . The fish give me , ( the higher up the Heirachy species ) , just a minimal of unwitting encouragement to feed them and count them , and generally caretaker their environment , so as to prosper. I respond by giving all this attention . All they needed to do was to come up from the murky depths and been seen , which makes me feel good and continue daily with my care taking activity. . ( after all , as an aside , this is what happens in a dog / dog owner relationship . Exactly that ) So could this work for the next HEIRARCHY up.? .like we need to half believe there is higher life forms . Go about our day to day life as if there is higher life forms . Maybe then the higher life forms will respond with.............? Something indicative of their existence . If we say No ! No higher life forms exist , maybe they respond with , " we are not going to get very far here , and so leave those that refuse to accept higher life form existence alone ? But maybe we should not abandon this attribute .because the opposite is true , that if you do not want to see something you will not , unless it is ' blatant ' I would prefer a middle ground ." So , as I look around , or read about , or see video's about , LIFE in various shapes and sizes , I thought " is there any features about the " DIFFERENCES OF ACTIVITY , OR APPROACH , OR OTHER BEHAVIOUR " which help me to understand if there was any intelligent life HIGHER than US . Hense the experiment spoken of in this thread . The creatures I have used , are those ' near to hand ' namely Goldfish in my pond , Bugs that I am advised are crawling about on the bottom of the pond , Me outside the pond , observing the goldfish behaviour , and the proposed Intelligent life somewhere capable of observing me , observing my goldfish ! The idea of Ranking or Heirachy is a fairly loose description of the obvious difference in Intelligence of the scale of Heirachy going through :- BUGS - FISH - HUMAN - ( HIGHER INTELLIGENT LIFE FORM ) Bugs to fish , I can think about , Fish to human I can think about and observe very detailed and Well, Human to intelligent life I can think about , experiment and predict , possibly test . -------------------------------- If there is a linked HEIRARCHY in existence , then the main detailed link between Gold Fish and Man in this two way difference , ,I believe could give assistance and insight into the possible descovery of a link between Man and Higher Intelligence . -------------------------------- Mike Now having said that SURFING THE UNIVERSE sounds like a good time, exactly what was he doing? I have a long standing male friend , who I met during our children's open days at primary school . My children are grown up with children of there own , so that must be 25 years ago approx . We had similar interests and mind in both Science , Art , and Philosophy , and have been in touch continually fairly regularly over those 25,years. We can sit and talk for hours as well as go out into the Devon - Cornwall environment ( UK ) as well as doing the occasional experiment and observation. This night we had gone to a coastal town for a walk and a drink , and ended up in a pub that was just setting up a Rock and Roll band performance - ' Man , was it loud ' , great , but we could not hear ourselves ' think ' , let alone each other comment . So we ' wrote on beer mats ' questions and answers . The one question that got a hold was " WHAT IS THE MOST ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE ONE CAN HAVE ( of an in principal sustained , continuous , basis ) , ? " In between the time listening to this deafening yet enjoyable ' live rock band ' pub performance , we jointly came up with :- To Surf the universe , ..... For a few seconds , .... For a length of time ...... For Ever ........if you can catch the Universe ( as in one of AIRBRUSH's big waves , and figuratively ' Surf the Surf ' ) .. Airbrush I like your further comments about your view of the possibilities for higher up the Heirachy .. Of course this ( if my proposition is right about up and down the hierarchy differences) is what to expect . Namely , that the view downward is clear , the view upward is very fuzzy . How one can clarify the view upwards is an interesting subject in its own right . I suppose if the gold fish wanted a better view of me , they could make an almighty leap out of the water and have a good stare at me, and get a clearer image , and go back down and express in ' fishy language ' to the other fish , what I was really like ! What the equivalent of that is for us trying to gauge a snatch perception of any possible higher beings .. Is up for grabs . I did start to try a few years ago, in a sort of experimental way , which sort of continues to this day . Slightly convoluted. Mike Ps . A Philosophical friend of mine , and myself , had an elongated conversation , while listening to a very loud Rock and roll band , one night in a pub. I have seen a comment on this thread, that stated that Science does not need reality , in order for science to be correct and true . I can not see that , that can be correct ! It might be correct in a stand alone capability. The capability of working within the zone of science ONLY . BUT in the zone of EVERYTHING , like REALITY included , it would be an incomplete understanding of the COSMOS. MIKE Eg 1+1 = 2 is true in one setting ( real numbers ) but is not true with (complex variables !! )

. Airbrush, I am interested in your ideas as to what is ' up ' the Heirachy from our Human state. I have reflected on this subject , up through my life , in greater and lesser degrees. When asked to do a painting sketch ( in an art session ) the other day of this subject , the overseeing art teacher , showed the keenest of interest . Being 90 years old , I suppose that was predictable . ( he was the one that said " look at Omar Khayyam" . However , I think many people reflect on the subject " is there more than us ? " because of the "blurred " sence when looking upward ( demonstrated by my analysis of the ' Human Heirachy ' , whatever there is , is definitely like those fish in the pool. They think they can go on quite adequately without me , but I know better , as I might change my ideas about the pool and scrap it ! What happens to the fish then ? Do I find them a new home ?
