  1. Didn't know where to put it? But it's too danged funny not to. Voice mail Accident, Hilarious.
  2. I'm darned proud of the Brits too and I'm an American. And to beg your pardon, but one hell of a bunch of you Brits still have that stiff upper lip and Pip Pip attitude. My hope is that our America government will keep their damned greedy hands out of the games and that they will never pay into the Olympic Program. And no! America didn't let Gabby down, but the folks around her with money that could have helped but didn't. I'm sure that endorsements will make Gabby and her Mom whole again financially.Something I just now picked up on the tube. http://globalgrind.com/music/america-let-gabby-douglas-down-olympics-hair-bankrupt-photos#ixzz22tJIOrZN
  3. You might get hurt with (using) something that small.
  4. This from Merriman Webster. 1mur·der noun \ˈmər-dər\ Definition of MURDER1 The crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought
  5. I asked the question of why a person would kill another maliciously and without provocation. Murder in itself should be alien to normal civilized reasoning yet it happens. Below are some examples, but why? http://rawjustice.com/2011/01/07/15-strange-reasons-for-ending-someones-life/ There was no intent to make this a political issue or one of bias, only the question, how can such carnage is done to a group that you don't even know?
  6. A good acquaintence and I were golf partners at Ford for a few years. He was from India, also Sikh and a gentleman. He didn't drink, smoke or swear, I swear! A good honest hard working electrician who came to the job each day with a turbin wound around his head and his beard in a hair net. I partnered with him for about 4 years and never once was expected to do more than my share. I even went with him to his Temple once, explaining that I wanted to compare the difference between his religion and western theology. Oh yes! I've been in several churches of different denominations on occasion for the same reason. My question is, how can one person hate another person without knowing them, unless they are perhaps brainwashed or nuts to begin with? http://www.foxnews.com/
  7. I see that you put a lot of selective argument and reasoning into your answers. Against a guy like me you are safe, but I will still have my say. And were did I say that I deny equal rights to anyone? Nowhere! Giving our military personnel a three day grace period so they might get out of a fox hole to a better place of safety where they may have time to vote without addled thoughts is not changing the constitution, but a good reason. Trying to put everyone else into the same catagory giving it something that looks like a constitutionl correction is nothing but hype. The scum still get to vote, along with the regular crowd. And no one has taken that right from them. All they have to do is get off their lazy asses and go to the polls. Yes, Rohm Emanuel was castigated for his stupidity, but the jerk should have been fired; along with the other three or four nutty mayors who agreed with him. You can't have it both ways T Man and that seems to be your intent. Yes, every citizen redardless of their sexual, religious or political convictions in this country deserve a fair and equal chance at anything through the constitutions protection, but nothing more. I'm neither religious, bigoted, rich, poor or a scum ball, and I will gladly die for the safety of our constitution, every day. For without it we will have advanced this far only to begin our suffering. And the red -1 is from me. I totally disagree with your assumption and miswording that I would take away any rights from anyone even the scum, other than having them wearing their smelly two week old underware another two weeks. You do so like to change the meaning of things, don't you. I said nothing of rights, only respect. You made the other assumption.
  8. Love it Moon, wih the exception of beating up on Romney. He's my boy!
  9. Stewart is one of my favorite comics, bar none. He's very intellegent and makes his points jump out at you regardless of what the fuss is about. But you've got to give Huckabee a little credit also, he's a pretty good comedian himself. 'wink'. And bigotry, I dont understand selective bigotry at all? A bigot is bigot, as much as a liar is a liar. And to harm a person because the two of you disagree is exactly why this world is so screwed up. But tolerance and respect? They are two entirely different things. I may have to tolerate scum whether I like it or not, but I sure don't have to respect it.
  10. The problem with me is, I want to keep the constitution around for many more years. Folks like Rom Emanuel who want to kick business out of town because he doesn't like their belief will get it done quick enough. By Golly! You have the compassion of a Minister, Priest and Rabbi. Bless your heart.
  11. Or himself? Maybe so, but after seeing this administrations hog wallowing around for 3 1/2 yrs., and getting away with it, anything is possible.
  12. I'm not going to squabble about this. If he's lying and the truth tells it as such, I have no idea what I might call him. But that pompus ass from Nevada accusing him because a contact told, forget it.
  13. I have no idea, but you have my stand. Yet there are many people who question much of his life. All of it!
  14. As I undestand, his birth and birth certificate are among other things still in question. I got over them when he was elected.
  15. May I ask why after 300 years does the President want to make it fair now?
  16. No friend! but when you seem to suggest that every wino, derelict and lazy bum you know should get the same respect as our service personnel, you've barking up the wrong tree. You really want to do something worthwhile for your party, tell Harry Reid the lying slimeball, to keep his filthy, rotten mouth shut. When a person of his political stature makes such an unfounded statement about a man about to run for president, you would do yourself a favor by asking him where he gets his information? I haven't found truth in anything that whole liberal tribe has spawned. And no, it doesn't take a lot of smarts to believe the truth, only common sense.
  17. You are very sharp my friend. Only an extremely intellegent person would have picked up on that so quickly. Being a bit slow, I read it again three or four more times and am still unsure of what the poposal means? By the way, are you saying military personel crawing from a bunker some where to vote, shouldn't get a few extra days grace to do so? But then you made it quite clear, everyone should have the same advantage, right?
  18. I don't write this stuff, so interpret it as you like.http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/04/congress-makes-bipartisan-effort-to-exempt-olympians-from-taxes-on-winning/ Just stating facts. A person can be upset without frothing at the mouth, although some of us do froth better than others.
  19. I'm not quite sure, but I understand a bipartisan bill is going to the floor to stop the proposal of taxing either the medals or cash awards.
  20. Got this from a friend this morning and wondered if someone else may have seen it and might explain it better than I presently understand it. I listened but didn't read it entirely. Yes, it is biased, but how? Is it just a right wing ploy to bitch about something or Is it as inmaterial as some would make it out to be? I did go to snopes and this link seems to be the gist of it. http://www.snopes.com/politics/ballot/military.asp
  21. Wish I could expound on your statements further but you pretty well wrapped it up. In another post, I believe JohnB gave it the same assessment. If we could only see just a few short years down the road from now???
  22. I thought the little girl or boy who shinnied up the lamp post had the best seat in the house.
  23. This repeated sentiment would be enough for a mod to close this thread and have no one question the decision. I don't know how to respond to this without an ad hominem attack. What you said here is the most contemptible thing I have seen in a while. If you are telling me that all I am listening to is propaganda, you're right Moon, I have read so much garbage from both sides now that I am almost impervious to slurs or the misquoting of my statemets. But at the moment, unless someone can give me facts other than what everyone seems to know is correct with the exception of me and my friends, I'm simply stuck in the mud until this election is over. I just can't and won't change my convictions at this point. And as Phi fo All sort of put it, arsenic in my potato salad? Or perhaps hemlock in my chip dip. Does it really matter? Take your pick!
  24. Then you probably haven't been watching any of the Occupy Wall Street zanies? Anyway, you left out despicable. I don't know how to respond to this without an ad hominem attack. What you said here is the most contemptible thing I have seen in a while.
  25. No need for apologies. If you can't express your feelings than it's a pretty shallow plate we all eat from. I have two good friends who have been invoved with other than caucasions for years. Actually one of them for many years. Neither is married because of circumstances I wouldn't divulge but which I think rediculous. But that is their business, not mine. We don't spend a lot of time together since my wife passed, but they are still my friends. My Dad near beat the hide off me when I was maybe 10 or 12 for calling a friend of mine the N word. In a small coal mining town you don't pick friends, you just have friends and Robinson was one of mine. My Dad hated the word even though it was bandied about by both Blacks and Whites. He was president of the local UMWA union and I have eaten several good meal at the Robinson home. It was sort of a mutual thing. None of us were rich, so sharing was a common thing. The ass whipping I took for the incident belonge to me exclusively. I've tried making my views clear about this political mish mash, but unfortunately I'm not a very good statistitian or a (?) of the spoken word. After the Bush administration, I think we owed the whole world some apologies. Bush's "power means never having to say you're sorry" attitude was extremely undiplomatic. There's a big difference between seeming strong and being barbaric. When in Rome... Do you think the same about the traditional Japanese bow? Not every culture shakes hands, and diplomats learn very quickly not to offend. Do you think these cultural greetings are akin to kneeling before a superior? I assure you, they aren't. Both Bush presidents used to kiss the Saudis. Why doesn't that bother you? Sorry, but this one sounds like a partisan complaint. If the guy you like did the same thing, he'd be "outsmarting" the guy you hate. But with Obama, you call it "browbeating". I don't want to take things off-topic for all these issues, but I do think it's important to show you how many other perspectives there are to these issues. One man's "genuflecting" is another man's greeting. Perhaps a tumblr migh be the appropriate place for some of the sweet and genteel Wall street take over crowd? Perhaps the: Take over Wall street crowd might be more inclined?http://boingboing.net/2011/10/15/occupy-wall-street-protesters.html Perhaps this Occupy Wall Street group might wish to participate in the tumblr?
