  1. This is a continuous battle against the establishment, deep state government, and all things Democratic. They simply picked up the baton dropped by the Tea Party, who picked up the baton dropped by the New Gingrich cabal, who picked up the baton dropped by Goldwater/Reagan crowd, who picked up the baton dropped by McCarthyism, who picked up the baton dropped by America First. I imagine in 10 years MAGA will be gone and others will gleefully carry on the eternal battle.
  2. I used to be addicted to the Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around.
  3. Just like with academic teachers, when you are young they teach you what to think, and as you age and progress they teach you how to think.
  4. That's awfully cynical. It presupposes that the people woo'ing don't believe. Whether they are foolish to believe or not, if they do believe, then what they are doing is not about trying to dupe people; it is about enlightening people.
  5. Jimara posted once, three years ago. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer.
  6. I like it! Nice to see someone come here with an interest in science who is not telling us that GR is wrong. 😀 Perhaps this will need to end up in the Lounge instead of Puzzles.
  7. I think the key word here is "pseudo". I recently cooked up a pseudo infinite pot of chili.

  9. Yes. While not all archdiocese have brought back the chalice yet it is currently being used in many places and is being rolled out as COVID wanes.
  10. I think that is why they give away free wine at Catholic Mass! As I like to say, I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
  11. ALL religious holidays? Rosh Hashanah? Tzom Gedaliah? Ramadan? Obon? Makahiki? I celebrate Christmas too, but that doesn't keep me from being an atheist.
  12. I don't like almonds. But I do like some monds.
  13. I hate that I have to pick up the pot roast I dropped on the floor in less than three seconds so that it can still be served to my guests without fear of passing on any dirt or germs. Makes me wonder just how useful these "rules" are. Ten seconds would be a lot easier.
  14. To me the obvious engineering solution involves the movement of people from areas of too little water to areas where there is plenty of water. We don't build massive engineering projects to move air underwater or move heat to the Arctic. Instead we limit the number of people who live under water or in the Arctic. Now that people in the Western US have overused their water resources, it is probably time to move their golf courses and pecan trees to an area that has plenty of water.
  15. I believe that is 70-80,000 casualties. Maybe 20,000 or so dead.
  16. I don't know if this is correct, but I've read that all mathematics are fundamentally different versions of counting.
  17. Well that was pretty misleading. The discrepancy in funding you cite wrt breast cancer has nothing at all to do with our system of government. From the link you conveniently failed to provide us: https://www.cancerhealth.com/article/cancers-better-funded-others
  18. Exactly. That is why everyone is a great painter after taking an art class and watching a bunch of Youtube videos.
