  1. The scientist in question was handling a laboratory-grade compound, which is off the charts compared to what a non-chemist might be exposed to. At the time, the standard safety protocol she followed wasn't sufficient but, obviously, things have been tightened since then.
  2. Do you ever hear scientists speak of 'truth'? It is not a goal serious ones aspire to because there is no way to know. History shows us that it is a moving target.
  3. I think this part is moot after the fact.
  4. PG has no smell.
  5. DIY vaping juice suppliers should have it too as it's a component of vaping liquid.
  6. The BBC have a write up on it: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55086927
  7. Isn't one of the two doses given for this drug a half dose? Can't remember if it's the first or second dose.
  8. Can you envisage any pertinent election cases getting there that might make any difference?

That's something I imagine happening to Silvio Berlusconi.
  10. There's lots at the state level acknowledging the results as valid that I've been reading. It's the acolytes surrounding Trump that give the opposite impression. More minor ones will just be toeing the line for now. Here's a quote the Republican SoS of Georgia certifying the result there made:
  11. .... and are then slipped into nice orange boiler suits.
  12. What qualifies cases for US SC attention? It seemed to me, a while ago, that every case the government lost in the lower courts went straight to the SC.
  13. Yes, Trump's skulking outside the law to see what/who he can find to help him.
  14. From what I've been reading, this is just posturing to play to his base that he's still fighting.
  15. Yes, I was thinking of the pending legal matters and debt. It strikes me as a serious folly to go for such a public position when one knows that one has such a complicated and dubious past record.
  16. Trump's actions seem consistent with that of a person in fear of his future once his presidential immunity lapses.
  17. Right-leaning Democrats, 'right' as in within the Democratic spectrum, that are Pro-Big Business, may seek to undermine aspiring progressive policies from the left of the party.
  18. Why is it obvious? My feeling is they won because they didn't message too far to the left, given how close the races were, Sanders in this this race instead of Biden would have been a straigghtforward win for the GOP..Another thing is, Ocasio-Cortez'-types wishes are probably dead in the water, given the likely layout of the Senate. The results don't seem amenable to a future progressive agenda. Just imo, of course.
  19. Trump will be 'delighted' to have his two favourite people flanking him on the WH wall.
  20. ON GOP dissent, these are the sort of comments I was reading in this AP article: https://apnews.com/article/pat-toomey-no-evidence-vote-fraud-0ac291da7ab09f6336d24290ef81f53b
  21. It's good to read about Republican senators, and others, expressing dissent against Trump's fabrications about fraud. Hopefully, they'll eat him alive and spit him out at the appropriate time. Time for both sides to learn to compromise.
  22. If Trump wins, we'll have to start viewing the US as a problem and adversary.
  23. But your original post has been a success for you, as you now probably know where you might go from here.
