  1. Ok, while i find this interesting, i have a few questions, so that i may better understand: - if you are using a cell phone as your alarm, dont you need some sort of Plan to keep the number active? If that is the case, then technically you are paying for your alarm? -how did you get it to say "Shed Alarm"? I know there are ways, but i dont know them. thanks
  2. YT, i love that idea! I thought you had pictures for us though? of the land or the device? In anycase, i'd like to see both - if you wouldnt mind showing
  3. A Flash Evaporator? We have one in our school, and my teacher was going to throw it away, i put it back in his room though, because i thought that i might as well just ask here to see how it works, and what it does here is a link, we have the exact same one: right here thanks
  4. (I think this is the right place to put this) Ok, so i have a TV in my room, and whenever its on and i put my hand or something near it, you can hear static electricity. So, sometimes i put the TV on to play some games, and i have a Portable CD Player in my hand. Then i put the CD player on top of the tv, and the earphone wire hangs down, getting close/touching the screen - i can usually hear the static when it does that. This time though, i did the same thing, but the static was louder, and my CD Player turned off. I never learned Electricity in physics So i was wondering, how was there enough from the TV to turn off the CD player? First time its ever happend. Thanks
  5. or maybe we will perfect clonining, which will halt evolution.
  6. Yes, i've had that too. One dream im in say a lobby of a building, and i go around and do stuff. then, a few weeks later im in the same parking lot, and go into that same lobby, but go somewhere else afterwards. pretty crazy though.

    swords

heck, it looks freaky when you see a 5 inch sheath or so on someones belt! but it would be cool to see someone walking with a sword which the sheath is on their back!
  8. How about a Meteorology/Climatology forum? Since that doesnt really fit anywhere.
  9. Unless Im missing something, there is no where to post meteorology or climatology... ecept in General Science... but computers and engineering have their own section. Unless topics which include meteorology would go in physics? Although alot has to do with temperature, it is quite a different field. I think we should have one (unless i just dont know where to find such topics) - do you?
  10. hm, so from this i gather that the equation gives us an imaginary number, which would be impossible in the physical world, and therefor we say its immpossible. i dont understand the "assumptions going into the equation part" though.
  11. I know when something is accelerated it will be moving slower. and I know when something is going faster than the speed of light - in theory - time would go backwards. so when something IS going the speed of light, does time stop, or just move very slowly? thanks.
  12. Well, that's pretty weird. a blister should be filled with liquid, so i dont know how it "went back in". :-|
  13. it could have popped. a blister is made when the cells explode, and release water - then it stays under the skin, to make the bubble. when it pops it should look like dead skin (very white). Usually when you pop a blister you cut off the skin with it.
  14. to me a gut feeling is like your 1st choise. Such as a multiple choise test, the first one you choose is usually right. and just like other people said, its your brain gathering information all around you, and making a predictoin.
  15. Either: Physics, Biology, Meteorology, or Psychology
  16. yeah, i knew that. but i was wondering if the person that could see the entire thing, would see the same time dialation as someone who was closer, much closer. but thx
  17. maybe, i'll look it up. What im talking about, is like you looking at a miniature train set. Except the train set is like a solar system. and you see things moving all around and such. So, if something is moving at .5c - will the person that is 1 light year away, and you (the view of the entire "train set") see the same time dialation?
  18. whoops, i wrote what i wanted to say wrong. I mean if you were away from the Earth, star, and spaceship - if you could see all that was happening.
  19. So i was thinking, i know depeding on the point of view, time will go faster/slow down - and such. example: if you are on earth, and you go in a spaceship and travel the speed of light (assuming you could) towards a star. Your POV is different than that of Earth. Well, what about a POV that can see the star, spaceship, and earth? What does it loook like to them? Do they see it how it "actually is" Object S going c, towards star, away from earth - with no time slowing down for the spaceship?
  20. yeah, i need -k, so i can find out t. (and how do you do the equation like that?)
