Why do antibiotic super bugs keep evolving more and more so they are resistant to antibiotics? Wouldn't this evolution be considered on a macroscale or would you say microscale seeing as how they are becoming stronger and stronger? It's interesting to learn that these things are becoming more and more powerful through last century and this century. Why do these things evolve so quickly and yet we as humans don't really have a greatly evolving immune system?

I rather just nuke everyone and be done with it. Enough of these petty war games. buh!

I was reading some information on drugs used to increase the learning inside of animals that has to do with LTP. I don't exactly know too much about this subject since it seems somewhat brand new to me on a biochemical level. I did read a wiki entry but I got lost and understood about two-thirds of it. Does anyone have information relating to the withdrawal effects on subjects that had taken in a drug to enhance memory and learning performance? Did they show a lack of an ability to learn afterwards? What side effects did such a drug have?

What I'm wondering about people who can memorize tons of things is if they can comprehend them? I mean.. what's stopping people who can remembers tons of things from developing the most sophisticated technology the world has seen combining all aspects of science? These savants make me question their being from time to time. I'm sure if any of you could read 100 books that cover a vast field of science and remember it all you'd crank out some kick*** stuff. I know I would.

I got an idea. How about you make an AI that travels the universe looking for energy crystals. Also make another AI so they can be interactive with each other. One an antagonist and the other the protagonist. Name one of them Optimus Prime.

What are the effects of Seroquel on the five sleep stages and REM ? Does someone get stuck in a certain stage? Does one ever reach REM? I googled it a little bit but didn't turn up with the best results. I'm currently researching REM but this is more because of my interest in Seroquel as a medicine.

Where is Oz? Stupid question, but seeing as I'm American. Oz has a few meaning to me, a magical location being one. Hmm, would this be Australia you speak of? T'was an Aussie that informed me of this educational system about 3-2 years ago. Alright, what do you mean by "tested"? Do my parents have to be included in this? I hate my parents. Being a full-time student, is one allowed to make Cs? I don't plan at making Cs whatsoever, but I'm only human, so I think... Oh yeah, and also, what are the chances of me getting into Australia?

From what I have been told from many people overseas, there are colleges you can go to and they will pay for room, board, and clasees. The catch is, when you are done with learning, you have to pay it all back. They get a percentage of what you make. Is this true? Where are these places? What are the rules for getting this borrowed money? Do people have to make certain grades, or just not fail? Eh.. maybe I should have put this in education..

Yep, figure this is general discussion, so let's make things unconventional. I have very thick and puffy hair on the top of my head. I use globs of hair gel just to keep it down. The thing is, I want to grow it out and braid it so I look cool. However, I don't want to keep using globs of hair gel over and over. I also figure that if I get my hair leveled out i won't be able to braid it as much, or if I choose to, dreadlock it. What should I do?

The citrus fruit, grapefruit, is a very interesting one. It has the ability to give some types of medications double the effect. Take viagra for instance. Studies have shown that if you take one viagra and drink grapefruit juice, it will be as if you took in two viagra pills. I use to drink grapefruit juice in the mornings with my pills. Tisk tisk, try not to use all. I'm an intelligent christian, I don't go to church that much anymore, I'm not stupid. However I think I'm understanding what the key word that is the determining factor here. The defintion of abortion is up for trial. Not only that but what a birth "control" pill is. Thus the term morning after pills came into effect. Than shouldn't people be using the term "morning after"? Maybe I interpreted this wrong, I haven't been able to understand the bodily function of a woman ever.

I'm looking around on the web doing research on something and then I come across something I just find very odd. That if you take the pill while you're pregnant there will be a biological dysfunction with the birth in which you will be forced to either have an abortion or suffer in eternal pain until death? What is this crap people are talking about? I suspect that most women probably don't test themselves to see if they are pregnant or not. Or else 1 out of 300, seeing as there are usually over one million abortions a year and the population of America is 300 million or so. However, birth control doesn't really matter much once you know you're pregnant because you can't get pregnant again until you have the child.

I'm sure if you've been around the Internet a bit you know what I'm getting at. Scienceforums.net has many people here but it doesn't have all the boards on a forum like scienceforums.com On scienceforums.com you have many different types of boards but everything is so squeezed together and hard to read. Not only that but you can't have your own avatar on sf.com I was wondering what all of you thought about both websites though. It seems that scienceforums.com is more active, but scienceforums.net seems to have professionals who know what they are talking about. I often see new members coming here but I seem to be more drawn to sf.com because the majority of people there seem to have a grasp on science and discussing things and building on top of them more and more. What do you think about both websites?

Smart ass. Everybody's brain is different and their environments also. it's about where a person is. Depending on where you live, how people act towards you, and how society is at the time will usually effect who you are and how you percieve the world. I'm sure most people will understand the point of death unless of course it is sheided from their eyes by society. In that case you will have a psychological behavior where you don't understand that death exists. However, biologically you may notice that you get stronger and weaker throughout life. I believe that people either walk through life blindly, are on drugs already, or don't talk about it. Out of sight, out of mind. There is also the idea that you have a certain type of biological setting where your emotions are preset. If you never take time to understand yourself and learn about how you think and who you are, your psychobiological settings will take course wherever the wind takes them. This is where changing how you think can change how you feel. I'm just waiting around until I collect enough knowledge to blow up the world. Then again, maybe people will do that themselves. Muah ha ha ha ha ha ha. However if you want my personal opinion on death. If people right now, got off their lazy butts and went all out learning science. We could find a way to go against death and become somewhat immortal. However, we couldn't stay on Earth if people were to become immortals. Resources would be used up and more than likely you will be killed by nature than a human. I think about 2,000,000 people or more working towards the same goal would boost things tremendously. Imagine this whole forum being packed with a million scientists. It would be crazy yet, almost any problem another scientist is having could be answered and a complete technological advancement would happen. Which is happening more and more with forums. But, people think I'm crazy.
