    here is this question in my text book that is as follows: "when P(z) is divided by z2-3z+2 the remainder is 4z-7. Find the remainder when P(z) is divided by: a) z-1 b) z-2" It does not tell me what P(z) is and the example does not explain this kind of question and they are all like this. I am very confused and would really like some help!!

    Hi! I'm new and i need a bit of help........ I had a question where you needed to find the weight of an object without the use of a scale... Materials given were: the object you were finding for, standard weight, meter rule and fulcrum. I thought the best solution would be to make a lever and use the law of moments. I was wondering, what would be some of the limitations of such an experiment. It was an at home experiment. Could this experiment be improved? Is there any advantages to doing such an experiment in a lab?

    Hello, I have to design a datapath for an ARM base processor. Like ARM it works conditionally that is if the condition is satisfied the instruction will take place. Otherwise nothing will happen.     Hey people. I have been fiddling around with PSPICE cadance student version for the past 3 hours trying to get it to simulate a transient response. I will attach a graph of what we got using an oscillioscope in the labs. With PSPICE I just cannot replicate the graph no matter what I do. Its my first time really using the program so I am relatively new to it. If anyone could help I would appreciate it a lot. This is the circuit we need to analyse and the graph we are supposed to get: If anyone could help me understand how to replicate this in PSPICE I will be very greatful. The frequency used on the oscilloscope was 1kHz.

    Hello!!! Could anyone help me to solve this exercise? Using Stirling's formula show that( see the first attached file stirling1!!!), where S(x)=-xlnx-(1-x)ln(1-x), 0<=x<=1.     My question regards bones after death. Are bones that turn to ashes in a casket the same (chemically, physically) as bones that turn to ashes when a body is cremated? I'm asking because, when a body is buried, it is not burned but the bones turn to dust or ashes, and when cremated the body is burned and the bones come out brittle from a cremation chamber and are ground up and called "ashes." I want to know if the remains of the bones in both situations are the same, years later, when they are ashes. Thanks

    I need to calculate the effective nuclear charge of Cu2+. The formula that I am using is #protons- (total# e- - valence e-). Cu config is [Ar]3d104s1 Cu2+ config is [Ar]3d9 So the total # of protons is 29. Total # of e- is 27 because we lost 2 due to the ionization. Now would the total number of valence e- be 17 because we are looking at the whole 3rd energy level? So would the answer be 29- (27-17)= 19? Thanks.

I know that [latex]\lim_{x\to 0}\frac{\; ln\left (1+x \right )\; }{x} = 1[/latex] but I can't quite figure out how to implement this property on the problem above. I have the following problem: say I have two points in a 3d space A & B and want to find a Point C that is on a line between A & B but has a specific length.
