Not shure wheter this counts as homework help or science education. The lecturer asked us to find out about the electron structures of 3 ions:Co+ , Zn(2+) and Br+ that is suppose to differ from the basic rule/principle for determening the basic electron configuration of ions. I can't find anything on what makes these three ions different from the rest in the textbook i have and would realy appreciate it if some of you guys can please help me with it.

  5. Hello I have a homework problem that involves solving for the voltage gain in an op-amp circuit with both positive and negative feedback. I need to find the relationship between in input voltages V_s1 and V_s2, and the node just before R_L, which I will refer to as V_o. I have never dealt with positive feedback before. But, I plan on using super-position to solve the problem. So, the final relationship will look like V_o = k_1*V_s1 + k_2*V_s2, where k_1 and k_2 are some gain constants. By, turning V_s1 off, I get an inverting amplifier, so V_o' = (-R_4/R_2)*V_s2. Is this right? And then, by turning V_s2 off, I get a positive feedback circuit, but I …

Hello I have to fill in the missing word and I'm completely stuck. The paragraph is talking about thermoregulation and the 'life-threatening condition' is heat stroke. The rest of it makes sense and was easy to fill in but this bit doesn't seem to make sense to me at all. I know you won't just tell me the answer but any clues would be really appreciated. "A life-threatening condition occurs when the core temperature reaches the…………………………. temperature"

"You are testing to see if a new brand of fertilizer works better than the old brand. You have 20 plants and have divided them into two groups. The first will be grown with the old brand and the second will be grown with the new brand of fertilizer. You keep the water, temperature, light, etc. the same for both groups of plants and they are grown together in the same greenhouse. You measure the height in centimeters that the plants grow after a two week period." What is your null hypothesis? Would "The plants grown with the new brand of fertilizer would grow at the same or lower rate as the plants grown with the old brand." work?

Hi guys thanks for reading. I was looking at Newtons Laws and an analogy popped up about the motorcycle ball of death. (The large ball that people on motorcycles travel around.) Ok, since Newtons first law states an object will move in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force. Since this track is curved, an unbalanced force will need to act on the motorcycle to make it turn. Does this mean the engine has to apply the constant unbalanced force and continually accelerate for this stunt to work? Thanks for any help guys.

Hey I have a task in which I have to investigate an aspect of plant growth relating to agriculture in Australia and then formulate a research question. Once I have identified the issue I will have to make a recommendation on how to solve the problem or at least improve it.It can’t be too complex since yeah I am only in year 11 so no super hard stuff and we only have 3 weeks to grow the plants although we can get fully grown plants if necessary. Also the thing I am investigating needs to have significant previous research so I can point to some secondary data during my discussion. With regards to equipment we can only really get rudimentary stuff not anything really ex…

    3. Suppose the NSA (National Security Agency of the US) has a specialized computer system that can break a DES cipher by brute force search in 1 minutes on the average. Estimate the length of time the same system will take to break an AES cipher of key length 192 bits by brute force, assuming that the amount of time the system takes to try an AES key and a DES key are the same. Express the answer I terms of the number of years and also in terms of the earth’s age (assume earth age is 4.5 billion years). (Note that in cryptographic calculations such as these estimates, exact numbers are not necessary. Rather the orders of magnitude should suffice.) Ans: So …

Below are the questions I am having difficulty with, I can't find the right answer in the textbook or online. 1) Where does folding of lipid-anchored proteins take place? 2) Which type of transport vesicle is responsible for moving PrPc in the anterograde direction? 4) Draw the pathway taken by PrPc from synthesis to its final destination. Indicate the orientation of the protein at each stage in the pathway. For #1 I wrote an excretory vesicle, for #2 I think it is on the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane of the cell. I don't have an answer for #4. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
