Even micro-organisms and bacteria, then also that it didnt wipe out all life, or that when it did destroy all life there was a burst of life later that no one can really explain.

 

So if it did wipe out all life, where did the burst of life come from afterwards, when not even bacteria and micro-organsims lived?

What makes you think that the K-T extinction event (dinosaurs) destroyed all life?

 

There have been five (known) major extinction events showing in the fossil record and the K-T was nowhere near the most extensive. That was the P-T event.

 

You should look up both.

The asteroid did not wipe out everything. Smaller animals could survive easier, because of several reasons. One reason is that they certainly need less food.

Between 5 and 20 mass extinction events has occurred in the planets history, none of which resulted in the total extinction of all species.

The number I've heard is 70% of all species were extinguished by the K/T asteroid 65 Million years ago.
