Some folks from this thread expressed displeasure with their first names. If you could change your name with no hassles, no angry family and nobody would have trouble remembering your new name, what would you change it to?

I used to detest my middle name (Joseph) but I now like 'Joe' so I'd go for that as my first name instead instead of Antony (Tony for short). I like Ansel as well.

I would change my name to Malachi very quickly. I think that's a lot nicer name than Jacob. And not as common.

Ozymandias. Or maybe Betty.

probably swap to my middle name, clark. you don't see a lot of clarks these days

I'd go with something relatively boring and common, you would certainly have a lot less problems during your school years. Maybe Dave, John, Joe or somethign like that.

 

I guess Sven isn't as much of a problem now i'm in the working world but every now and then you get some idiot who has to make a remark about it or just plain gets it wrong no-matter how many times you repeat it.

 

I'm so used to being called it now that I couldn't imagine it changing.

I like my own name, though i wouldn't refuse if someone called me Elijah
