They pay Google for every click that draws people to their site. It's how you advertise through Google.

LOL, I think they go straight for the brain with a meme virus. I'm pretty immune, but I didn't stand around long anyway - boring fantasy in my opinion.

Use a program called ad muncher, or if you are using firefox there is an addon called adblock plus which blocks all ads I use it all the time.

To add to my last post i personally think adsense ads are ok, they dont pop up and buzz around they are there and if you want to clikc thhem you can, its mainly up to you. If it wasnt for the ads how would the webmaster be able to keep up hosting costs
