Read it aloud! thats the best way, look at the punctuation...remember you follow the punctuation rather then the lines. Hope this helps at least a little.^.^

Just scream the whole thing at the top of your lungs, like so:

THERE ONCE WAS A MAN FROM NANTUCKET...

I`m with Spooky on this one, also it`s a good idea to Understand what`s trying to be said or felt, when you do this you will put your Own stressing on certain words.

like playing a piece of Music, each player will play the same piece differently in the way They interpret it.

this is called "Style".

okay so heres what i meant with the lines *sorry forgot to include explanation for that part*

the little old man danced and danced,/;/: <--- take a break between lines

The little old man danced and danced <---- continue reading to next line without stopping..

Just scream the whole thing at the top of your lungs

Scream EVERYTHING from the top of your lungs if you Mean It!

that`s called Rock :)

It depends what the word is in the next line.

I don't think this type of thread should be in here. this is a science forum after all and its about poetry

Linguistics is a type of science... I suppose you could interpret the OP that way.

So Lemmy really doesn't want to live for ever? Damn, I'm gonna miss him.
