Drinking cats saliva

Featured Replies

To my horror I awoke this morning to find my cat lapping up water from the cup on my bed side table and realised this has probably been going on for months even years.

I'm not too worried more disguisted of the thought of drinking my cats saliva, but do you think there could be anything I could catch from this sharing of drinks?

I know one things for sure, I'm going to use a bottle from now on.

Toxo Plasmosis is a potential threat, it`s not actualy as Funny as the story itself !

what are the symptoms?

Here's a link...(Directors of Health Promotion and Education)

If you're really concerned probably best to go to a doctor just to be sure, if your not displaying any of the symptoms then you're probably fine.

Sounds pretty horrible but I don't have a weak immune system so yea i'm sure i'm fine.

Psycological scarring now thats a different matter all together.

But besides your water bottle put water for your cat or s/he will sorely miss your cup. :-(

Personally I dont think she deserves it.

Just because they have less doesn't mean they don't have harmful bacteria.

by less, I was implying less harmful as well... At least, nothing our immune system couldn't take care of. I guess I should've been clearer.

when i read the title of the thread i amagines, someguy drinking a cup full of cat saliva, maybe because he thinks it gives him adnormal human powers or some other wierd reason.
