25 % !!!

Featured Replies

Apparently Europe has hit a milestone in the month of June.
It is reported that Europe got 25 % of its energy from solar in the month; an increase from 10 % five years ago.
Mind you, the situation is not as rosy in the winter, because A/C is not a big energy load in European summers.

Mean while the US is attacking Iran ... again, in an effort to re-open the Strait of Hormuz, and get oil flowing again to save its reserves.
How is that for clear-headed planning.

I like this girl.
Born in the Vatican, spoke Latin as a little girl, and PhD in Computer Science.
Her analysis provides my daily vent against all things Trump/MAGA/Republican.

Will he tarrif the Vatican now?

A world of caution about politics , journalism and statistics.

In the UK, reporting 'Energy' statistics or making policy decisions about them is a variable beast.

For some years 'Energy' usage has been measured here by gas consumption, sometime domestic only, sometimes commercial, sometimes both.

Both fuel oils and electricity consumption were ignored.

Policy rebates such as the winter fuel payment were based on gas consumption statistics.

The recent announcement of our wonderful (!*! ?) new prime minister that he was cutting energy bills by removing some tax on 'Energy', refers to electricity bills only.

So which 'Energy Requirement' is the OP referring to ?
