    God.

So there can be no begining? Yes there is, the existence of the sky does not depend on land or ocean or even a planet. Without the right side of my computer screen, there would be no left Tell that to a radial symmetry creature.... It's even easier now, you keep making the point of the opposition over and over....
  2. So far you have done everything you could do verbally to prove other wise. No, as I said the love of money does that. So Gold is not the same as money? Gold is somehow better than money? i call bull shit on this entire line of pseudo reasoning....
  3. No, it's the love of money that is the root of all evil, you can't even get your quotes right, you strive for nothing but chaos

    God.

Yes but that is only bilateral symmetry... There are other patterns of symmetry.... you have no point....
  5. And just what would be "your way"?

  8. Seriously dude, you need to check out the "Book of Urantia" I think you missed your calling.....
  9. I'm not sure worshiping a huge Ash tree and all the accompanying Gods and goddesses qualifies as mono-theism but the fact remains that aliens might be bent on proselytizing anyone they find and might be every bit as deadly serious as we were and sometimes are at it. They might be monotheistic and worship a nearby black hole or pi or what ever but no matter what it is they do not necessarily agree with or respect the way most of this planet believes. Many North American Native peoples were basically monotheistic but you won't find many Christians who believe in praying to the great spirit. It would be easy for me to assume all advanced aliens would be atheistic but that would be quite an assumption...
  10. There are glyphs that seem to portray helicopters and jet airplanes quite convincingly but they are just coincidence of combined shapes. if you can't come up with a mechanism for the Egyptians to have known about the great red spot then your interpretation is no better than coincidence and thus meaningless. I suggest you give the people more credit and post the photo.
  11. So every one is assuming their God is the same as our Judeo/Christian/Muslim God? No one considers the chance they might worship a completely different way? Not to mention want to impress that religion on us much the same way we have forced our religion on other less powerful peoples?
  12. gf, how could the ancient Egyptians have received the knowledge of the great red spot on Jupiter? If you can't answer this the idea becomes nothing more than a meaningless coincidence... No mater how close the description is...
  13. So we are going to end up proselytizing the universe? I'm not kidding and this time no disrespect at all for God, but if you run it out to it's logical conclusion that's what's being said. Then again it depends on what their religion is to some extent doesn't it? If the aliens are "Planet" worshipers kind of like the pagans and neo-pagans. Combine that with hi-tech and a yearning to proselytize and you get a holy war we couldn't win. Much like what the Europeans did to the North American or Western Hemisphere natives, instead of Catholicism and destroying any trace of the other religions and converting the natives it could be them doing it to us!
  14. I think the main problem would be if it is intelligent life, I see no problem with just finding, life YEC might disagree, but intelligent life especially if it was greatly superior to our own civilization might be a problem if their religion didn't agree with ours or was some how totally opposite what the major religions of the earth believe.
  15. While the original post link is nothing but tripe this is interesting as far as ancient genes go.... http://www.livescience.com/animals/ancient-sperm-gene-100715.html
  16. I have no problem with God, it's his fan club that pisses me off...
  17. I agree, Religion is a Cancer eating away at the soul of humanity..... far to serious to be a joke....
  18. Rigney! I thought we were becoming fast friends but a pond with a waterfall full of chlorine! Blasphemy! This long time aquarium pond lover is properly disappointed by such a terrible misuse of water!
  19. I have to go with zolar on this one, if time travel ls is possible then you could only travel between the times the time travel machine actually existed, wasn't that what you were saying zolar?
  20. Who are you to say what is the correct interpretation of god, who are you to demand respect? DNKSFA
  21. It seems i read it somewhere but i can't think of where at the moment but can't the speed of everything be measured in relation to the Cosmic back round radiation?
  22. Thank you for your concern, if I want my eyes to be put out by religion I'll let the crazies in when they knock on my door.... here I think it's a science forum, even in the religion section
  23. Unless they are of the YEC bent and think the Earth is the end all be all of creation I can't see how they would have any problem with it. Give them a whole new group of beings to proselytize (when I read that word I always think of prostitution for some reason ) of course if the aliens have their own Religion and God or Gods then things might bet a little weird
  24. Very good point tom, there is always a hidden agenda when some one assets the power and majesty of God, it's always their idea of God and to me at least kind of condescending to anyone who believes differently as in my god is great, I feel sorry for those who worship some other less great God
