my best moment of the day was when i was thinking about alchemy of all things and i began falling into a daydream full of gold. gold gold gold. beautiful gold. i think i'm going to change my name to auric. anyway i had this wild daydream in which i was creating gold out of mercury. *siiiiigggghh* what a wonderful daydream. on the subject of alchemy i read an interesting article about art kunkin: King of the hippies, creator of the freep (the LA free press) and modern day alchemist. his work is fascinating.

well all numbers go on forever (1.oooo..... and 34.6590000...... e.t.c.). 0.99999999....... is going to carry on forever but the '0' in front of it will always be there. there will always be nothing there. 1.000000000.... will always be 1.00000... with the 1 there. there is something there. there is 1, there is a whole number in front of it. a whole has been added to it. therefore 0.9999999.... cannot be the same as 1.0000000.....

will centrifuging an alloy in it's molten form seperate the elements within it?

ok, im just hypothesising here, but if you were to create an vehicle which has a very strong positive charge on its base (with a van de graaf generator perhaps) and devices all around the edges somehow fired a stream of postive ions at the ground around it (in the same way that an antistatic gun does onto a record) in order to make the ground positivley charged all around it. Could you make the vehicle levitate and make it fly in one direction by reducing the amount of positive ions fired at the ground in that direction? I just thought it might work since the charges in the vehicle base and the ground would repel each other since they are alike. feel free to dis this idea and prove it wrong if i am wrong i'm only wondering.

If you put that stuff in a glass container with glitter in would it do the same thing as those snow storm souvenir ornament things with the man in which you shake?

is it possible to make threads out of melted sugar i.e. caramel? if so how is it done, how strong would they be and how flexible would they be? Would it be possible to make stuff out of them? Also are there any other ways of making materials out of sugar? (perhaps by reacting it with some other chemical) if you know of anything interesting related to this please mention it because i am eager to try some stuff with sugar.
