I see music as sounds. Louder sounds get people more in a frenzy. This is probably true with our ancestors back in the cromagnum times also. Look at the African tribes going wild through musical influence. Sound and rytheme. Music has always been changing and people (times) have changed with it. Victorian times classical pianos, during civil war music was played using banjos (a.k.a. modern hick music), and the roaring twenties; with western influenced beats merged with be beginning of jazz. Electricity eventually lead to us listening to it's sound. Differnce today with music is it's diversity. People choose what they listen to (they have many options). Back in victorian times, everyone and their parents listened to Bach. Differant cultures, all living amongest each other through it be the internet, televison or the overall communication system, has made music intertwined with modern day life. So the question. Do I believe music shapes a person? Yes, you can get a good amount of information about a person just by knowning the music they listen too. This is seen more notabley in grade schoolers and high schoolers. I remember when I was in High School, music made you etheir in this crowd or another. As you become older, you seem to lose that musical connection, but we still recognize music. As to what music I listen too. I am a hard rock, 1990s metal/alternative/rock sence kind of person. I like bands such as koRn, tool and other hard rock. But since 1998 rock music sucks. Today, I listen to some rap (kool keith, del the funky, automator, some radio rap), but mostley public and talk radio. Jazz sometings, but usually flipping through channels.

Sayonara^3. When I said America was single out, it was more of a joke. But When you say America would be singled out because of our threat to the world. that makes no sence. As I understand it; Aliens made a dela with the United States back in WW2. This would make Germany the biggest threat to the world. Germany had more aggresive palns (take over the world), plus smarter scientists CREATING a atom bomb. Alein did crash here (lets just pretend), so that would be a good reason to side with the U.S. So the rest of the world wouldn't know about their presence. Also, imagen such a intellegent race singleing out a group of people. That would be like us singleing out the smarted group of monkeys in a area of the rain forest. Aliens do not speak using their mouths and they esspecially not english. So using telepathly, they would just get millions of thoughs running though our brains and would not be a able to set up any communication with us. It would be difficult to signle our nation out as the "smartest" or "most dangerous", but maybe as the peace keeper of our world. That would make more sence. Our nation was isolated throught both World Wars and most wars which happened in history.

Yea, America just got lucky and thats why it's so much better off then other developed countries. Like in rap music. Countries are just hating on us. Depression is a emotion. Emotions helped us evolve (testing the brain). Many animals experiance emotions, but do they know what it is. Can they control their emotion. We know what is emotional and what makes us emotional. Maybe in a couple of decades, people will not know what depression was. We are depressed because something makes us that way. People who have manic depression are mentally handycap, their brain is somehow not working properly. You can't call that a true emotion becuase they are overloaded with that one emotion.
