  1. The belly button is because that's where the yolk sends nutrient into the baby before it hatches. Her breasts are fat deposits that form the yolk after the baby's been conceived.
  2. What if she was cryogenically frozen long ago, the ship carrying her and others of her species crashed into Canada in the 1200s, and no humans found the capsules until 900 years later? After all, we're a cold country.
  3. Another problem involving my animated series concept. First, here's the female lead: Secondly, she's on the team representing Canada, whereas her home is a far off planet full of giant trees and humid weather with lots of rainfall. Canada isn't much like that. This is a character I've worked really hard on, and I don't want her to stick out like a sore thumb. So how can I change her to fit in more with being on the Canadian team?
  4. From what I've seen so far, Canada has the lowest biodiversity of most countries in the world. Does it really? If so, why do we have such low biodiversity?
  5. So my happiness is what makes Simon Cowell so miserable? =P
  6. http://fwallpapers.com/files/images/funny-science.jpg We never know. XD
  7. Okay, that sounds more realistic, but would it still look as cool as this? If not, how could I make turbofan bikes look cooler?
  8. Okay, what about a VASIMR-esque engine system?
  9. Are thermonuclear jet engines possible?
  10. What makes you think such a battery is possible?
  11. Another problem I've encountered while working on my animated series; the bikes' fuel source. They're magnetically levitated and jet-propelled, the fastest one of them can travel is 360 km/h, but what would their power source be? I'm trying to realistically think of one that wouldn't pollute nearly as much as petroleum fuels, since it's set in the distant future and more is done overtime to give us cleaner air and water.
  12. Then what about trees for paper? Or has recycled paper pretty much eliminated the need for paper-trees?
  13. Most trees I know of take ages to grow back, especially if they're going to be used for plywood. It'd make more sense to call them "renewable" if you meant as a fuel source, because certain trees don't take as long to grow back (like poplars).
  14. Wood, renewable? It doesn't seem so renewable to me.
  15. I've been looking at a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine stuff lately, and I've been wondering about the relationship between modernization and the decline of steam engines. If we still had steam engines in large numbers running our railways, what would they be powered by? Coal has become too much of a burden on the environment, but the trains would need something to give them enough steam.
  16. Okay, maybe the rigid armor would be a big factor in killing him, so maybe the armor should be a more flexible material. What about a foam rubber suit?
  17. Anyway, nobody answered my other question a few messages ago: How does one measure the strength of explosions?
  18. No, the sabotour meant it to look like an accident. Nothing holds him on the bike. Other than the magnetic levitation the bikes are built like motorcycles. As for the power source, I was thinking maybe a methane-based fuel made from feces (obviously they'll still have lots in the future). Or... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJeMnZuOOJU If manufacturers have enough interest in such propulsion then we'd see a lot more of them in the distant future.
  19. Or maybe something in the bike is rigged to purposely malfunction and electrocute him to death?
  20. It's sabotage. It's rigged to explode, and the sabotour did it undetected. We're supposed to be horrified that he died, and his death is what kicks off the conflict between the protagonist and antagoist. Anybody here know how to measure the strength of an explosion?
  21. Nah, that would only work if he's old, and fat.
  22. Then I'll go with the blast sending him into the air and violently onto the ground.
  23. I just thought of something. What if I just say that the trauma to his head from the blast was enough to kill him? I saw something similar on Mythbusters with regards to the lungs during the dynamite surfing myth.
