  1. Then can somebody who actually knows the workings of a GEV help me out please?
  2. Well let's take another look at the concept sketch I did today: If it were a GEV, with that wingspan, how much lift would it get?
  3. But then viewers (It's an animated series concept actually) would start arguing about it, so I'm trying to make that less likely. Besides, the storyline is set in 2135 AD. How likely is it that wheeled automobiles won't be used anymore with the big advancements in technology these days?
  4. I just want the technology to be an accurate prediction, like when H.G. Wells predicted the creation of tanks in one of his stories. Not to mention his prediction of spaceships eventually coming true in the 50s and 60s. You sure it's really that dangerous to try the previously discussed maglev/deflector shield combination? In the decades to come we could find a way to make it safer.
  5. Well, then here's a quick concept sketch.
  6. Would making their suits rubber help? Or one of these? In the meantime, while awaiting your response, I'll be working on a quick concept picture of the GEV mentioned earlier.
  7. What if the riders underwent extensive physical training to have faster reflexes than people of our current time period?
  8. It's okay, your advice is helpful. I just don't know how to make a GEV fast enough to be an exciting race machine, but not be too high in the ground (in case falling out of the air is more likely to kill the rider). What would the bike need so that it can fly much faster at a lower altitude (like maybe 10 feet)?
  9. So did I, but I survived and was able to walk home. Also, the idea of making the bikes GEVs doesn't quite sit well with me. Would such a vehicle be able to do this?: Or would it be as exciting as this?:
  10. Would it be a low enough speed that the rider wouldn't fly off the bike?
  11. The only other way I can keep them as hoverbikes is if I slow them down to 360 km/h or less. That couldn't possibly need a force field, could it?
  12. Is repelling ions the same as repelling g-forces? It sure doesn't sound like it.
  13. Force field technology seems a little hard to believe. Sure, we have this: But how do we expect one that can defy g-forces? Has anyone come close to making such a thing?
  14. I wish I was a regular rider. What should I do to my own design to give the rider said most basic thing a motorcycle gives? Should I heighten up the seat or shorten the windshield? I don't want the idea of giving the bikes higher speeds (Of no more than 800 km/h) to send the rider flying off to his death.
  15. I had a feeling I'd get that kind of response, but look at bikes from the 1930s. And here's a bike from today. See any differences?
  16. In this thread I'd like to share with you concept art and/or audio for a project I've been working on. First off, I want you to take a look at 2 vehicle concept pictures I've done: Example of the hoverbikes in the story. Alternative example. Does the second picture still look like a motorcycle, or at least, a motorcycle-like vehicle? If not, what can I do to make it look more like a bike?
  17. Well, here's something I just saw that might be close to what you're talking about: Also, would the riders maybe have to wear something similar to a pilot's g-suit to prevent force damage on the body?
  18. Even fictitious vehicles need realistic engineering applied to them.
  19. Hi, another thing I need your help with about the hoverbikes in my show concept. I sometimes think I should make the bikes faster, but then it brings safety to issue because of the increased g-forces (assuming that's a possibility). The fastest I wanted to make them at one time was no more than 800 km/h. What should I do, design-wise, to make sure the riders are safer at such high speeds? Is there some other technology that would need to be acquired for this objective?
  20. Yeah, that is a good part of racing.
  21. Another question I've come across while working on my animated series concept: What makes racing more exciting? Is it the speed of the race, or the noise of the vehicles, or the danger the drivers face? I'd like you to tell me as soon as possible so that I know how to make the hoverbike races more exciting.
  22. What about the Velociraptor's environment? Would it have an effect on it being endothermic or exothermic?
