Quantum fields and consciousness (split from Nothing and The Creation)
Please explain, bc I'm pretty sure Maimonides thoughts weren't about quantum. Here we go again, Dunning and Krueger writ large, you don't know enough to know why you don't understand, so you feel no shame in displaying your ignorance...

Quantum fields and consciousness (split from Nothing and The Creation)
Why? What point are you trying to make?

Christianity (split from Christian nationalism)
Indeed, but absolute faith does tip the scales; a commodity that has to carefully managed. I think the various religion's, have all taken 'a bloody good stab at it'; but, as ever, time degrades the data and the meaning is lost... I think we're waiting for Nietzsche's madman to shine a light... Why would you need a god to imagine that slavery is not good? Just think to yourself "Jesus H christ!!! don't make me be a slave", give a minute to sink right in there; yes that's blasphemy. 🙄

A new form of philosophy I came up with
If I'm being taught, then you don't understand what a teacher has to do...

Christianity (split from Christian nationalism)
But everyone has a price, from Winston in room 101, to a dog walker that's run out of shit bag's; if no one is looking, they're not going to pick up the shit with their bare hand's. Christianity provides an external watcher in the form of god, Buddhism provides an internal watcher in the form of karma; both depend on belief to educate those of us that don't understand the value of a moral code...

"The parable of the mad man" Bolded mine: I think it can, but how could we tell the difference???

The Philosophy of Scientific Progress – Are We Truly Advancing?
We never learn, bc too many of us think we already know, and then democracy makes sense!!!

The Philosophy of Scientific Progress – Are We Truly Advancing?
But the point is, we can't predict progress, even scientifically; all we can do is take a best guess, at what might happen tomorrow. Progress is a spontaneous event, and all history seems to provide is the odds-on favorites. What's really strange, is how often the house wins; it's like we never learn... 🙄

Knowledge Tree
The goal is to make it understandable, therefore knowledge tree is the wrong metaphor to use, unless you're an arborist mid-lecture...

Ethics of veganism
Without looking, I'm sure there are many studies that show this to be false, stress, I think, is bad for growth. But if we can get back to the ethical argument, this isn't in the political forum, Veganism is an absolute position... 😉 From this position, you commit murder, if you humanely transport a house spider, outside...

A new form of philosophy I came up with
Questions are really easy to recognise, they have have one of these ? at the end. You're more than welcome to say my question's are meaningless, with an appropriate explanation of the reason. But just deciding not to answer, for whatever reason, is not a recognised method of a meaningful discussion, it's kinda rule one in the philosophical lexicon, it's certainly nothing new (consider this my last attempt to steer you towards the actual topic). 🙄🙏🤞😣

Nothing and The Creation
I can't think of anything meaningful to say, either...

Ethics of veganism
Seems to me that we're talking past each other, we both agree that factory farm's can be cruel and a well treated animal is happy. It also seems to me that the scale of the farm isn't a barrier to kindness. I get the vegan position, in terms of a protest, 'Malcom X' like, in order to restore a ballance; but the fundamental arguments don't work as an absolute. What would a vegan do to a million mice that are eating all their food?

A new form of philosophy I came up with
False. You don't understand. Thats fine, but we get further if you can point out the problems. As below. You seem very sure the comprehension problem is mine. You have not given reason why that must so. Why the definitions I have provided would conflict with reality. This is a discussion, traditionally a question (from me) is a prompt for further explanaition (from you), a tradition you resolutely refuse to follow. Banging my head against a brick wall, is very far away from a new form of philosophy, unless I actually want to see a pink (other colour's are available 😉) unicorn... 🙄 Which I don't, again... 😣

Nothing and The Creation
I bet you don't understand the irony here; imagine if your maimonides, you devoutly spend every waking moment, reading and learning and collating all that knowledge into a meaningful way to be a grown up and then some kid just spouts the latest troupe from the playground, to make himself look big in front of his mates; that kids going to get a thick ear and the rest of the lesson sat in the corner, with a certain hat on. IOW, grow up... 🙄

Can truth contradict itself?
It can only be what it is... 🙂

Nothing and The Creation
Maybe you should read about Maimonides before we explore 'the enlightenment'.

Can truth contradict itself?
It will be what it is... 😉

Yet, strangely, all of my free range duck's, voluntarily, line up at dusk to be re-imprisoned; maybe they feel safer... 😉
