  6. In class, Ive we've all been given mini-debate topics about various UN topics. Mine was about the Rights of The Child conference. I have also been given the affirmative position thereby standing behind the US adopting and ratifying the convention. The problem is that I dont have too great of an arguement for the US to adopt it. I have a feeling that my opposition will be arguing that it is anti-family. http://www.unhchr.ch/html/menu3/b/k2crc.htm That is the actual conference. Any help is appreciated!

  8. Great, I have a few friends down under. Plus those here on the site. I'd love to get a look at it. I wonder if there are any webcams that would be able to see through a telescope, and broadcast a good look at it. That would be pretty amazing.

  12. lol, im just waiting for them. However I gotta say that in a childish way, I do hope they find something out there. Even though that's EXTREMELY improbable...sigh...oh well, I can dream
  13. Yes they should definitely run that region more with another powerful radio telescope in order to correct any flaw. I hope we find something good
  14. Its in the system 32 folder but I dont remember the exact directory. Sry, I'll look it up when I get home from school
  15. My Favorite Riddle- • There are 5 houses that are each a different colour. • There is a person of a different nationality in each house. • The 5 owners drink a certain drink. They each smoke a certain brand of cigarettes and also have a certain pet. No owner has the same pet, smokes the same brand of cigarettes nor drinks the same drink. • The question is. “Who has the fish?” CLUES 1. The British man lives in the red house. 2. The Swedish man has a dog for a pet. 3. The Danish man drinks tea. 4. The green house is to the left of the white house. 5. The owner of the green house drinks coffee. 6. The person that smokes Pall Mall has a bird. 7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill. 8. The person that lives in the middle house drinks milk. 9. The Norwegian lives in the first house. 10. The person that smokes Blend, lives next to the one that has a cat. 11. The person that has a horse lives next to the one that smokes Dunhill. 12. The one that smokes Bluemaster drinks beer. 13. The German smokes Prince. 14. The Norwegian lives next to a blue house. 15. The person that smokes Blend, has a neighbour that drinks water.

  17. where or when will this song be heard on the site?
  18. lol, its funny you should say that, b/c in one of my last debates last year, my partner said something completely the opposite of what I said. I suppose it was a lack of communication, lol, can't let it happen again!
  19. by that do you mean reproductinve cloning or just therapeudic? I cant say that Im all for reproductive cloning, because I can't really see a practical prupose of it, even if you kid dies, and you collect some DNA, the clone will never reall be exactly the same. Then again, I suppose that it's better than not having one. There would be a whole different relationship between the child and the parent. But still I dont see anything terribly wrong with it. Its just about the same as making a new child, only using the blueprints for another one. No 2 clones will ever be exactly the same...well their genotype will be but certainly not their phenotype.
  20. all for therapeudic cloning, also supporting stem-cell research
  21. lol, not at all. If I could just find an empty stretch of highway somewhere, but you never know who will come along and ruin the experiment. The conditions should be just right. I really dont know how they work, and if they're just caused by superheating still air, so I wouldnt know how to re-create one in a lab. But if I find the time and place, I'll definitely try to find a long stretch of highway.

    infinity?

Well math is a fundamental in the universe...it isnt actually man made, its just man-altered...we shaped our perception of mathmatics...as if we asked someone not of our planet what 2 objects were, he would know the number of 2, of course we wouldnt expect him to speak english, but he would still understand the idea of math
  23. How so? Do you mean by ways of explosions? lol
  24. THANKS!! I had honestly never thought of that. How does one go about reducing, or breaking down substances? (Particularly ones of hazardous nature) Is there any way of making an unstable material by adding more particles, that would just have a half life of about .5 seconds, and start to breakdown into its basics?
