  1. Our countries education system is terrible not because teachers don't care, but because the government cares too much. If someone wants to fail, let them fail, it's not the schools fault. Just give parents and students a choice of what school to go to. If you gave them that choice the shitty schools would try to get better, and the good schools would be rewarded. If the kid is failing major by like 8th grade, do what they do in China - Send them to a sweat shop, that's all they would end up doing in the end anyway.
  2. You got a 3 on the exam and are wanting to have chemistry as your major? I'd think a little bit more, maybe you just weren't paying attention in class, but the AP Chem exam is pretty easy. As a review book, Zumdahl has a really nice one.
  3. Have any of you not read 1984? Perpetual War is good for the economy!
  4. Text-Messaging voting would be hard to regulate, because someone could just grab your phone and text in Palin to someone. Internet voting, however, seems like it'd be a good idea. Do it county-by-county, using your social security number and stuff. That sounds pretty good
  5. Rahm Emanuel? Neo-Con? No way. This is the guy that while being a part of the New Democrat Coalition (democrats that run near the middle), he is one of the most liberal of them. He is the constructor of universal healthcare Clinton style. This is the guy that stabbed a steak while a knife repeatedly and yelled 'DEAD DEAD DEAD' after Clinton won the election. So he can get kinda antsy.
  6. Maybe if we tell them 'no' enough they will stop? That has to be the mindset here.
  7. I got a good way to make everyone happy. Have church marriage's be called "marriages". The church decides if you get married, etc. Same rights as they have now. Have court marriages (between gays and people who just don't wanna be in a church for their special day) civil unions. Same rights as marriages. Everyone has equal rights, and the church gets to keep the definition of marriage. 10/10
  8. Let's put it this way buddy, when you worked out your equation, the element you got was Vanadium. Which is seriously doubt is a liquid at 373K.
  9. He's been a lame duck for the past 4 years. So he'll keep on doing what he's been doing. Recordificating our conversations.
  10. Less government is good government!
  11. They passed the same type of gaymarriage ban in Arizona as well On the subject of Stevens though, it is Alaska law that is someone is expelled from the Senate seat (as stevens will be in january), then a special election will be held. HOWEVER, if Stevens resigns before he is expelled, the governor (Who's that again?) can appoint a senator. So basically, they voted stevens because they didn't want to see their Republican seat given up. (to watch) See if Palin appoints herself, and after 4 years of senate experience running for president in 2012. Like that would happen, lol? Who the hell would elect someone with only 4 years of senate experience?!?!
  12. I don't know what you mean by volatile liquid, but in my experience using the Ideal Gas Law for a liquid is not going to give you a very accurate answer.
  13. I don't think it is Obama he is talking about. There was some senate race somewhere where a lady accused another one of being 'godless'. Franken lost in the end though, eh? Minnesota has been pretty reliably democrat, but I still find it odd that someone as radical as Franken got so close to getting the seat.
  14. You should only thank about 52% of americans. Specifically those living in Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
  15. http://www.ontheissues.org/domestic/Barack_Obama_Gun_Control.htm The part that stands out is this one: "Principles that Obama supports on gun issues: Ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons. Increase state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms. Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms." I've only been hunting once (hated it). I went squirrel hunting with a semi-automatic 22. For those of you who don't know, which isn't more powerful than a little handgun. That would be banned under what Obama supports, which is a little extreme.
  16. Georgia Missouri and North Carolina are still undecided.
  17. He's voted against hand-guns, and purchasing of firearms (more than one a month). Basically, in my state, if you cast a vote against us having as many guns as we want and shooting as many animals as possible, we arn't happy with you. Obama has no shot in my state, there are two types of people here anyway. Racist hunters, and Evangelicals. Did you make the mistake of registering as an independant?
  18. It's also raining in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina. That tends to make a less higher turnout among the low-income voters (usually Obama). But I seriously doubt this will be close electorally.
  19. It tells you that they don't react in hot or cold water.
  20. We all know how good Karl Rove is at doing stuff.
  21. I live in West Virginia, a state obviously going for McCain for the simple reason that Obama is black and hates guns. I didn't get any calls since yesterday, when I got two, one paid for by the RNC, and one paid for by McCain himself (I heard he sold one of his houses to make all of them calls).
  22. "As Putin rears his head, where does he go? Alaska." -Palin
  23. They've been doing a pretty good job of Hidin Biden, but he slips out every once and awhile .

    Sweating

Okay, I understand (basically) how sweating works. Your sweat glands, when you're hot, produce sweat and the sweat evaporates taking heat energy away, therefore cooling you off. A question I had was if you were submerged in water but still above the temperature that causes you to sweat, would you sweat underwater?
  25. Yeah, differentiation is what you do when wanting to find the slope of a function at any point. Mitosis is some sort of cell stuff.
