  1. We don't know. You're trying to mesh two very diffrent versions of physics. QM and Relativity do no go well together. Come back when we have a Quantum Theory of Gravity.
  2. Cause you get the wrong answer if you don't!
  3. It's a good book. You don't have to understand any of the math he tries to 'teach', but it makes it not only make more sense, but all the more beautiful if you do.
  4. I just got hired at Chick-Fil-A. Haha!

    But mostly I am student.

  5. I guess that depends what field you are in. Physicists have no problem making infinity / infinity equal a finite number.
  6. I was under the impression humans accounted for less then 5% of CO2 emissions.
  7. 1: Riogho 2: Riogho 3: Riogho 4: Riogho 5: Riogho 6: Riogho >.> I wanted at least ONE vote in everything
  8. Obama would be one smart cookie if he picked Joe Manchin as his running mate. That is his only chance to carry West Virginia. A state that is normally blue, but has gone red the past two elections. Joe Manchin is an intelligent man, who is quick-witted, and a good speaker. Not as good as Obama, of course, you never want your VP to out-do you in anything. (Why bush picked cheney ). But he is a blue-collared worker which is the demographic that Obama needs to pick up on, and fast.
  9. *cough* Observed Universe *cough* Thank you There are still some of us holding out we just havn't observed it yet
  10. I have a question. I know it's unallowed for you to serve more than 2 terms in office as president, but could you serve as vice after that? Wouldn't it be the most interesting if Obama picked BILL Clinton to be his VP pick!
  11. Trigonometric functions are also defined as the sum of an infinite series, look em up on wiki.

    solve

I got it all on one line, but my skills are really rusty. Forgive me, I don't know LateX either. log(x+6) log(2log(4x-9)) = log(9)log(3)log(3) That's as far as I got

    solve

I've been applying my n00b skills to this problem and I'm stumped. I'd be curious as to the answer as well. More importantly however, how you got it. I just keep getting myself caught in circles.
  14. Dividing anything by zero is considered undefined. If zero is any other number liek you claim it is, why would having zero in the numerator change things? It's still undefined.
  15. This race has been over for far too long. Hillary lost every iota of respect I had for her a month ago when she had obviously lost, and yet still refused to gracefully nod out and help unify the party.
  16. He doesn't always have to go for the 'A'
  17. I use a TI-84 to find polynomials to fit through a bunch of random points all the time.
  18. Plug that baby into a calculator.
  19. Energy is related to frequency. Energy and Intensity have nothing to do with each other. Your source is all screwed up.
  20. The problem with String theory is there is an infinite number of them and it makes no predictions. So basically, we have a crapload of string theories and we have NO CLUE which one pertains to our universe. We will go to the LHC get some new data, cross out a crapload of string theories that do not pertain, and still have an infinite more available. String theory is bull. It is nice and looks at a deeper theory that unifies all the particles and forces, but the way of strings is definitely not it.

    Spin

It has all the traits of something that is spinning, i.e. angular momentum, but it isn't actually spinning.
  22. The tests have changed over time dramatically. In the 3rd grade in the 1930's it was amazing if you were literate. Today we teach that in the 1st grade. It's not that we're smarter, it's that our school system is more academically rigorous. That makes it very difficult to compare times so far away.
