  1. Punching yourself in the face would be one such example.
  2. Note to self: Looks like a back door to reintroduce another version of the “red doesn’t exist” dumbassity
  3. I’ve read it several times. It’s a large part of the reason I’m an atheist today. Did you have a specific section or at least book you’d like US to focus to focus upon seeking validation of YOUR point? Maybe at least define which of the numerous versions of “THE Bible” you’re “citing.” And how come bibles don’t exist if the color red doesn’t exist? You’re horribly inconsistent to the point of absurdity.
  4. https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Non-Overlapping_Magisteria
  5. I understand, but please take note that reading your replies suggests otherwise.
  6. Appears to be a sloppy form of the nonoverlapping magisteria position that science and religion are two circles in a Venn diagram with zero occlusion (another self-evidently false apologist assertion)
  7. Of course AI are not exchanging DNA, but they ARE rejecting flawed forecasts and reinforcing successful ones… I.e. engaging in a form of selection, aka: evolving… and this is happening quite rapidly. But your record of having an enormous chip on your shoulder about all things AI remains unblemished.
  8. Too late And yet when asked for a falsifiable definition of soul, that is the one you shared. Pathetic.
  9. By this definition then it obviously exists. The problem you face is this definition isn’t agreed upon by anyone but you (and maybe your mom).
  10. Start by defining it in a falsifiable way and we’ll go from there. See above. Also… Which one(s)?
  11. I propose that the stress you seem to feel about this situation is far more detrimental to your health than anything your body might ingest over the course of a few weeks from the silicone grease being discussed herein.
  12. How much is that? This is remedially false. There are multiple lines of research showing the ways elderly folks losing memory compensate via other means and through use of mechanisms normally applied elsewhere. Emotion takes on a far greater role too, and reptilian portions of the brain regain much of the lost dominance they had shortly after birth. Perhaps with YOUR current knowledge, but not with mine. Mine would say, details matter here. Incapacitated how, where, and when as obvious followup queries.
  13. It’s NOT full, though. It’s more like learning to use ones toes to hold the brush when cleaning their teeth after their arms were blown off by an IED. Nobody uses their toes to hold the toothbrush unless they have to because it works less well and is not as good as using hands. One can dig a hole in the yard using a plastic spoon, but a spade shovel would be better It’s an adaptation or workaround so as to avoid total functionality loss, but is not ever “full functionality.” Similar with the brain. Adaptability and redundancy are what often get selected, not specific function. Such as?
  14. Silicone grease is so commonly used with potable water applications that it’s generally known as plumbers grease. It helps the o-ring to better slide into the space providing a more robust seal without pinching. I almost never install new fittings without it. It’s good for the gaskets and connection points to nozzles and sprinklers in outdoor water hoses, as well.
  15. That’s an assertion, an opinion at best, not “a solution” which is what you asked about.
  16. Silence is just silence. Lack of interest. Lack of willingness to engage yet another foolish internet poster. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
  17. Same copy pasted horseshit is appearing everywhere under similar usernames
  18. It’ll be the trash can soon enough given this posters pattern
  19. Yawn
  20. When was that?
  21. Or at least gather a sufficient mass to alter the underlying ecosystem in a manner that the opponents power gets extinguished. Fancy way of saying change the environment and culture, but this too is often insufficient on its own.
  22. For what it’s worth, most of us are re-introducing ourselves to ourselves every single day. We’re not chiseling identities into stone tablets. We’re writing out stories with each breath we take. Be kind. Be helpful. Be present. Be yourself. You have no choice on that last one, so focus on the first three. I don’t think you had a bad reputation. I think you needed time to align your voice with the other voices already contributing here before you. It’s like a symphony and you simply needed to tune your instrument. Much like elsewhere in the world. That previous version of you is a real nowhere man… Sitting in his nowhere land… enjoy today. 🎶 ✌️
  23. Merci. My fluency speaking surpasses my fluency typing, and usually holiday cheer is involved. Joyeuse Noel ✌🏼
