IMO< The (ghost) people refer to simply things they see but interpert it into somthing meaningful, Maybe a subconscience way to make them feel better about there time to expire. And HAL, the diffrence is when that scientist is doing an experiment he/she writes down the results and test's completed. Therfore any scientist after can follow there method and reproduce the same effect time and time again. With ghost that really cannot be done to achieve any proper result.

Science is "PROOF" And this forum is GREAT because when you think of a theory you come here, post and let people who are "SPECIALIST" read your post and disect it with great Precision. That way if you are on to somthing they help you fill in the missing holes. No scientist that i know has had a theory and first time was correct and accepted. These diverse discussions and topics are not just blabber instead these are the principals of life and what people have dedicated themselfs to for a very long time. I was reading a small article and it was speaking about Helium 3, the benifits of it for energy seem well worth the trip to the moon. Why are we not doing this? Any imput on or someone fimiliar with h3 please comment. Thanks.

John B, I understand your view point but i must comment on one thing. The terrorist we are currently in a scuffle with are hoping to die, somthing like the kamakazys did to american ships. They kill Americans they get virgins in heaven and whatever else, point being is how do you keep nukes away from them? And if/when they get ahold of one what would stop them from using it? What collatarel do we have on them? It may be nieve of me to say but i feel a nuclear attack emanate if somthing isn't done.

I doubt a species that has accomplished those feats will come to earth to start stuff. Unless they were the human race just 1 million yrs ahead. And i suppose they are intellegent beings so there would in fact be a way of communicating properly. If not with words with gestures like back in time when other tribes and nations couldn't verbly speak to one another and make sense of it. They would give grapes wine food smiles comfort etc to show hospatality.

Well from a personal point of view i take in huge ammounts of caffine a day and i never eat at work. Only when i get home to drink water with my meal. For some reason caffine supresses my appitite and from what ive herd thats more common than making you hungry.

Great point but guns will not destroy the earth and cause destruction at that caliber. If someone gets a gun a few die... A terrorist gets a nuke and kills a small country and cause nuclear holocaust. Quite a diffrence id imagine.

In the sense being we are always trying to keep them from terrorist but will they get ahold of them eventually? So why not just stop nuclear production altogether.

IMO, The technology we are using is no were sufficient enough to reach. And if the radio transmissions were being herd who would tell us? well according to the disclosure project hundreds of people who were high ranking officers etc have been making contact for years. So what proof is needed? The proof of the people. But to many reasons differ the national goverment from stating so.

Consider this, The alien life form's are not on the same life time scale as we are. We expire at 100 at best what if they expire at a rate of a tortus or longer? The fuel needed is a big issue of course but impossible? I think not at all. Food supply could be many options. So i dont think an infinite amount of galaxys planets etc.. And we are (intellegent) for all we know were in a fish bowl! Ants dont know there ant's.

A question for the age's, Should the world be nuke free or not?

I have had this thought for a long time and figured i would share it with the sf community. Now this is a big WHAT if but what if someday we make alien contact. Rather it be in person or a sort of communication, Would it be readily acceptable in modern society? Will the world accept what has happend and adapt? In 50-100-250 yrs will it be normal to have (alien) friends on face book and the world goverment have (alien) politicians. This seems far fetched i agree but so did some other ideas that were (((impossible))) until now there are jumbo jets in the sky and helicopters. Just wondering if the day would come were sitting on our back porch and...o look at that john... bill its just a space craft nothing major. this is supossed to be simply (hypathetical) of course. unless.........

(level 7) as far as real impact on the world US included what could the outcome be from a scientific prespective? direct impact on the global economy of course or has there been any real supporting claims come out yet?
