Welcome aboard . I hope you find what you are looking for. I have been and still am to a minor extent now a " motorcyclist" . No doubt we can discuss bikes sometime. I went from first bike 125 cc , then 200cc, then 350 cc. Then 500 twin cc. .Honda cb 250 twin Latterly Honda cx500. Now scooter . Lots of variations in addition along the way like moped, motor cycles and side car , AA bike 500 cc single cylinder. Etc. .Lots of fun . I still love the open air , open road. Though drive a car for family purposes. Mike

I have not looked back through the tread , so you may well have covered this. I designed a fall out shelter for indoors and a Lambing shelter for farmers on fell tops. both were based on " Buckminster Fullers Geodesic Dome" where he had developed Three ratio's to the sides of a triangle 'A' ',B' 'C' if you used his ratio the base of the half globe, or one third of a globe, came out level at the base, , so you could build it as a building. His designs have been used throughout the world to build vast stadiums and Exhibitions. But you may know all this. just a contribution.. The farmers thought i was mad,, although one chap wanted to rear Eagles in them , and people never bothered to go much for fall out shelters. however I did make the 'Press' at the time., . Not sure if it was good press or bad press. Oh and pedal chargers for Fall Out Shelters. They did get sold around the world for a little while ! Then moved into computer cables. Then teaching physics , then retired. Short history from Geodesic domes for sheep to retirement. Mike

What happens to me ? I am standing here with a pot of white paint, a compass and a 3 meter rod, and a ticket to a volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean .? Sorry the rod more exactly is........hummm..... [ Radius of Earth 6271000 meters and kept dividing by two until I got to 3.0379 meters.] I am off to catch the plane , ! De dum de dum! .... No Michel , it was your beautiful blue box that made me notice this " introduction party "Seems a good idea, seeing how as we meet from time to time on the forum ,with different postures. Like being pulled out of the mire from time to time after a battle with " spiders". Not sure how long this party has been going but here goes. I am mike, I am 70 years old, retired electrical/electronic engineer/physics teacher. I have 5 women in my life , ( God help me) wife and 4 daughters ( talk about being mauled by spiders ) I am using my retirement by painting, thinking, trying to work out what it's all about, out on my motor bike,out with the Jack Russel dog on adventures, swimming,( back and forward to the Mediterranean oops not swimming there), doing some geology ,rocks ,life,environment and generally being a bl..dy nuisance . Anyway enough prattle . I am Mike . Oh and keeping all these women from eating me alive ! I think they are winning! In response to the thread " Something from nothing " I would like to pose a Theory which I have found covers the whole Shebang, namely " the LoT " It is not stated in mathematical form. It is not some fundamental particle , force , etc. It is a lingual or language based statement: It can be built on with other principles and Mathematics as and if required. I have found this works well. Covers Big Bang and before. The whole Shebang, namely " the LoT , ( including Scientific Principles that can be verified)" TRY IT OUT . It works .
