  1. I decided to let the public have it, that way NOBODY gets to make any money out if it and perps still get Pwned
  2. LOL, fair play to ya for Me, alcohol is something I have to avoid entirely as well, times when I have failed in the past have been after a few drinks and I crave a cig really bad then, so no booze of any sort for a good 6 months or so until I`m sure that I`m over cigs. which isn`t really as bad as it sounds because I don`t drink that much anyway, and the beer I have is Alcohol free anyway. Same with my morning coffee, so I`v decided not to put any sugar in it (I still need my coffees), as sweet things make me want a cig too.
  3. pretty much all of that is sound advice, with one exception for me, I find that having a pack of cigs in a drawer out of site but easily accessible is a Help, I`v noticed in the past that my cravings are Worse if there aren`t any cigs about to have, but if there is some there, it takes a load of pressure off and makes it easier. it`s like if I CAN`T have one, I want one more? as for getting rid of reminders, that`s something I forgot to do, I`ll get on that right now.
  4. Fine, I accept you`re declaration and now acknowledge you as a "Poll Invalid", which includes your PogoStick!
  5. and btw, Cap`ns the Short one in the picture
  6. meh, say what you like, I`m going to be doing battle with Nicotine Monsters in my brain from Tomorrow onwards, after their inevitable defeat, I shall return to deal with your trivia!
  7. Jan 2`nd? don`t you mean Jan 1`st? I thought the "tradition" for resolutions was dec 31`st at midnight onwards. or at least for Me that`s when I`ll be putting out my last one. so I have just over 9 hours left! I like Gliders idea about pocket change, I have a Nintendo DS (a Christmas present), so I`ll be using that as my distraction, and it also gives me something to do with my hands, I just hope I don`t try and light the Stylus out of habit
  8. well after 30 years of smoking I`v decided to give it one last go, so tonight I`ll have my last smoke hopefully Forever. the cool part is that my wife has already quit a few months ago because she`s pregnant and non of my friends smoke either, so that sort of "Pressure" is off. I can`t see this near ideal situation occurring again, so I`m going to give it shot! why do I feel somewhat Nervous about the whole thing though?
  9. the phrase "running on auto-pilot" is quite apt.
  10. HUH??? my point about Atoms was simply that if you Had to mention them at all, You really do NOT understand the basics. it, at this level has little to Nothing to do with "Atoms". Emergent Behavior/Propert(y(ies)) are as a result of the Mechanism involved, in this case Brain parts.
  11. the same phenomenon can happen with machines, called "emergent behavior", I think what you`re failing to appreciate is the Complexity of the organic parts that make up these components as evidenced by your reference to Atoms (a whole several orders of Magnitude different). in effect these Parts, are somewhat self autonomous and made to interact with other parts that are similar, as a consequence a phenomenon Emerges called consciousness.
  12. Sissy, Don`t make me give you a Hazmat warning, you KNOW what the giant Lizard`s like, don`t give him Ideas!
  13. polystyrene is used in Many plastic items, the Expanded variety is actually the minority of it`s usage by mass. </factoid>
  14. it`s easier to pluck a chicken when it`s still warm (directly after killing it) than it is later when it`s cold, surely the same would be true for a dog?
  15. Plastics recycling bag/bin is fine for polystyrene
  16. mines quite simple too, Ages ago when I was about 13, I had a Walkie-Talkie that I re-tuned to the Ham band, realising I needed a call sign to use those frequencies I had to make something up, and Yours Truly 2095 (by E.L.O) was on the radio, so I picked YT2095. it`s stuck ever since. (and yes I soon realised that it wasn`t the correct number-letter protocol for Legit Ham call signs).
  17. if you see at the beginning, they have their heads bashed off the ground 1`st, it`s not exactly sedation though. although I would have thought/expected the pain to rendered then unconscious (passed out) during it, it seems Not? although at the end, it doesn`t seem Too far off death.
  18. we do? How do you "Know" this? what are you basing your claim on?
  19. well, if he does in fact have 25Kg of them, then Selling them on would be the logical thing to do, they also make Great wall insulation
  20. I can see your point, our policy of Openness with the community could be a little less in-yer-face I`m sure Admin will reposition it somewhere else a bit latter, after several cups of tea, paperwork signed and counter signed in triplicate, a lengthy debate of the implications, several more cups of tea, addendums made to the original paperwork, signed verification, and then a chat about who`s going to pay for all the Tea that will at least get it moved on a Trial basis!
  21. a neat thing to do is open up a felt pen of your favorite color (the end pulls off) and dip it in the acetone to color it, then dissolve all the packing, let the acetone evaporate a little and mold the PS into a shape and let it dry. you can dril a hole through it and use it as a key ring fob, or even make christmas tree decorations with them. I used to do it quite a bit as a kid and with PVA glue. and since you go out on excursion/trips you can make a dilute soln of this and dip matches into it (head 1`st) and let it dry, you`ll find they become Quite waterproof
  22. Figure Skaters have been doing this for centuries, when you want to increase the spin rate pull your arms and leg in. there`s nothing New here.
  23. self congratulatory praise is no recommendation, so just post it and lose the nonsense!
  24. and rather than waste good grade acetone use nail varnish remover instead, it`ll do the same thing and it`s loads cheaper, petrol works too.
