well, each chip has a number, and that number tells you what is inside it. a 7400 will have 4 NAND gates on it for instance: this will give you a visual idea of what I mean: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7400_series

several dozen vials, I would sell most of them, keep a couple to experiment with and one for my element collection. I have a ~10g chunk of Ge here also, and other than trying to make a diode (cats whisker) radio, it just stays in it`s container with the other elements in my collection.

I`d love to take a look at these for real, esp under a microscope, I can`t really offer any explanation beyond speculation either. it looks interesting how the new formed crystals are swept back though! it suggest some sort of force acting upon the growth, as if it`s trying to get away from it`s source? in a box it`s unlikely to be an air current, maybe a magnetic or electrical influence? (lodestone nearby?). it would be interesting to set another one up but with a piece of Paper between them, and see what happens then. are you 100% Sure that they weren`t touching? and did you notice any "strange" smell when you opened the box (sulphurous)? I do a lot of Long-Term experiments myself (I think it appeals to my stubborn streak) that can and do last for Years (some over a Decade), I think I may try this for myself if I can get hold of some antimonite. as for the copper, I don`t think it has played any part in this reaction, although it Is obviously oxidised, and may have contained trapped water (because of how it was made) that contributed to the overall humidity in the box.

forget it, you`ll not achieve a variable power MW generator that way, at best you may be able to modulate the MW carrier a little, the magnetron simply has little room for play when it comes to it`s output power, it`s a bit All-or-Nothing. you`d also need a separate cathode supply voltage too.

it`s DS lite, I have browsing s/ware and the slot 2 ram expansion h/ware that allows it to work. however there is another browser in DCOrganize that will work without the extra Ram but it`s not as good (mostly text only), but in the same Suite (if you don`t mind altering a few files) you can get on our #SFN Chatroom too with the IRC client you`d be astonished at the things you can do on a DS!

they kept on breaking into sheds and eventually burned down the site building costing over 100,000 quids worth of damage only a few weeks ago. my shed never got touched since the incident however! so it seems to be a reasonable deterrent as well. I now have one fitted on my Home shed as well, but it`s just as useful in a Car or your Home as well

huh? basically, the legalities and the cash involved to register the idea were stupid!
