  1. Imo the only time one really gives anything resembling unconditional love is to ones babies and toddlers until they start to show some sort of autonomy and responsibility. It is a necessary state to have a wide margin of tolerance to give them the space to develop and make all their early self-induced errors in a safe and watchful environment;.
  2. That brick, that the brickie has just dropped above me, will not hit my head. Yes, as per HSE directives, I've got a lid on.
  3. I think that has shades of Buddhism, whereby we project out what we see. Certainly, what we see is a construction of our minds and not a literal photograph-like image where we passively record all what passes into our eyes and we see that with our 'mind's eye'; it is selective as to what data is used and how it is used.
  4. It's about fishing. I was J/K. All these high-brow books people throw I thought I'd chuck that out. Good book though... if you're 15-.16...educative in the ways of amour.. It was written in the seventies.
  5. Happy Hooker by Xaviera Hollander

  7. Yes. The niceness or kindness of humans is really only a cleverly worn veneer, masking a selfishly motivated agenda. It is rare as rocking horse droppings to find a genuinely kind human, once you've delved deeper into the person.
  8. Creamy.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nJYZSrufjM
  9. I made sure I didn't have my headphones on before I hit 'play'... good job I did. I must be getting old. If I was going to start a genre like this I'd call it 'Deaf Metal'.
  10. I think this will meet with your approval:
  11. Brutal... on the ears as well!
  12. Donna Summers' I Feel Love is cool slowed down: Here it is stretched to 44 minutes:
  13. On the subject of girl's names...
  14. Alright you old fogeys, this is what's cool with the teenies who are into non-mainstream underground stuff my 13 year old nephew played to me today. Dig it :
  15. I wore that album out and Hemispheres. Lyrically, I rank Peart with Waters at clever, conceptual writing. They make a complex, sophisticated noise for a three piece rock band. The Trees is a great political tune: La Villa Strangiato is a good showcase for their composing and playing skills.
