  1. That's why you pay attention in English class and learn your language well enough to competently display what you want to say.
  2. i'm not so sure about this part. A new species would require genetic change. this would assume that the 'accidental' children didn't slowely die away. this would also assume that there were enough individual to carry on the trend. how would this small gene pool prevent an inbreeding nightmare? the only animal i think this could work for would be a butterfly (more specifically a caterpillar), since their larval stages do have significant changes within a single species. But this would bring up a sympatric barrier, since the adults still look the same. so.... i don't know.
  3. H1N1, which caused Spanish flu in 1918, and the 2009 flu pandemic H2N2, which caused Asian Flu in 1957 H3N2, which caused Hong Kong Flu in 1968 H5N1, a current pandemic threat H7N7, which has unusual zoonotic potential H1N2, endemic in humans and pigs H9N2 sometimes called bird flu virus. In 1999 and 2003, an H9N2 influenza strain caused illness in three people, aged one, four and five years old, in Hong Kong. All three patients recovered. In 2007 an H9N2 influenza strain caused illness in a 9-month old baby in Hong Kong H7N2 A 2008 analysis of the New York 2003 case concluded that the H7N2 virus responsible could be evolving toward the same strong sugar-binding properties of the three worldwide viral pandemics in 1918, 1957 and 1968. (Human flus and bird flus differ in the molecules they are good at binding with because mammals and birds differ in the molecules on the cell surface to be bound with. Humans have very few cells with the bird sugar on its cell surface.) A study with ferrets showed that this H7N2 strain could be passed from mammal to mammal H7N3 sometimes called bird flu virus H10N7 sometimes called bird flu virus. In 2004 in Egypt, H10N7 was reported for the first time in humans. It caused illness in two one-year old infants, residents of Ismaillia, Egypt; one child’s father a poultry merchant. all these are from subtype A. The other subtypes are substantially less common. Influenze B almost exclusively infects humans. Influenza C infects humans, dogs, and pigs, sometimes causing both severe illness and local epidemics. However, influenza C is less common than the other types and usually only causes mild disease in children. citation- all from wikipedia All this seems to show that most influenza strain's are unable to pass from mammal to mammal.
  4. Almost always, if more than one sperm enters an egg, the zygote is terminated. I believe it is called a molar birth when it isnt miscarried... I'm not sure though.
  5. The sympathetic nervous system only performs the actions. The sensory information is interpreted by the brain, which is sent to the parasympathetic and sypathetic nervous systems to perform their specific actions. The systems themselves cannot recieve sensory information directly.

  8. evolution isn't directed. it is the product of either environmental change or genetic change. unless the appendix starts having a negative affect on the human body, or it becomes a completely unneccesary waste of energy, it will remain in the human body 'forever'.
  9. if you can keep a straight face, it makes it even funnier.

  12. oh, sorry. i misread the question. peas, squash, beans. My grandfather has a garden in his backyard, and squash and string beans are always the first to be harvested.
  13. well, the fastest growing plant is bamboo.
  14. evolution is not a religion. it is a theory used to explain the diversity of species. it is also used to explain how simple stromatolites and protobionts evolved into the species known today. Read chapter 25-26 in my AP Biology book, Mr. Hovind. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedi would also like to point out that on page nine, he uses abiotic example to explain a purely biotic phenomenon. On page ten, he clearly shows he's never read any text about evolution. evolution does not occur withing the individual. also, genetic change does not occur in a few years. He is explaining natural selection. page twenty, atheism isn't a religion. page twenty two, just to be a dick, alexander the great didn't rule the greek empire. by the time he was finished, he rule the Macedonian empire. i'm so tired of reading his crap. Page twenty-nine, and i'm starting to see reoccuring patterns. he uses evolution as an explaination for everything bad that has ever happened. How did evolution and communism work together? Did satan use his power to magically bind them together? Is this really his dissertation? I guess to get a doctorate in christian education, you have to completely ignore the shortcomings of religion and blatantly lie to prove yourself right.

    Migraine

the reason these articles don't explain what you want is because they don't know. i couldn't find anything explaining why a migraine happens and next to nothing for a depolarization theory. sorry i couldn't help more.

a recent substitute was trying to use the face that no two snowflakes are alike to prove that some higher power or energy was acting upon it. can somebody explain why snowflakes are like this?
