Today I learned that Sulphur hexafluoride is the gas that gives you a low/deep voice like Xenon(the opposite of helium). Sulphur hexafluoride is also an extremely potent greenhousegas...a global warming potential of 23,900 times that of CO2. Sulphur hexafluoride is also extremely long-lived, is inert in the troposphere and stratosphere and has an estimated atmospheric lifetime of 800–3200 years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfur_hexafluoride

Today I learned that Xenon gas is the gas that gives you a very low voice and Xenon stimulates the production of erythropoietin(EPO)https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26939898
  7. Yes that would be fun. plz start with those jokes!
  8. I think it's called 'cross' because of the cross stitchings make at that part of the pants. It seems odd that it's not called a cross, in English. *How do you call an adoption child in/from China? -A take away Chinese.

Today I learned that plants have a way to use the entire visible spectrum. The literature and our present examinations indicate that the intra-leaf light absorption profile is in most cases steeper than the photosynthetic capacity profile. In strong white light, therefore, the quantum yield of photosynthesis would be lower in the upper chloroplasts, located near the illuminated surface, than that in the lower chloroplasts. Because green light can penetrate further into the leaf than red or blue light, in strong white light, any additional green light absorbed by the lower chloroplasts would increase leaf photosynthesis to a greater extent than would additional red or blue light. Based on the assessment of effects of the additional monochromatic light on leaf photosynthesis, we developed the differential quantum yield method that quantifies efficiency of any monochromatic light in white light. Application of this method to sunflower leaves clearly showed that, in moderate to strong white light, green light drove photosynthesis more effectively than red light.https://academic.oup.com/pcp/article/50/4/684/1908367
  14. You probably all know Banana Ray Comfort. It's hilarious.
  15. If Jesus was drowned to death then we would have an aquarium hanging on the ceiling instead of a cross:)

Today I learned, in terms of true depth, the Kola Superdeep Borehole is the deepest borehole in the world. It is the result of a scientific drilling project of the Soviet Union in the Pechengsky District, on the Kola Peninsula. The goal was to to drill as deep as possible into the Earth's crust. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kola_Superdeep_Borehole

Today I learned an Astronomical Unit (AU) is the average distance between Earth and the Sun, which is about 93 million miles or 150 million kilometers. Astronomical units are usually used to measure distances within our Solar System. For example, the planet Mercury is about 1/3 of an AU from the sun, while the farthest planet, Pluto, is about 40 AU from the sun (that's 40 times as far away from the Sun as Earth is). http://coolcosmos.ipac.caltech.edu/ask/301-What-is-an-Astronomical-Unit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronomical_unit

Today I learned about the Mobius strip. It is a surface with only one side (when embedded in three-dimensional Euclidean space) and only one boundary. The Möbius strip has the mathematical property of being unorientable. It can be realized as a ruled surface. A Möbius strip made with a piece of paper and tape. If an ant were to crawl along the length of this strip, it would return to its starting point having traversed the entire length of the strip (on both sides of the original paper) without ever crossing an edge.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Möbius_strip
  20. Why did the chicken cross the Mobius strip? -->To get to the same side!
