    cryptozoology

lol that is frightening Thank you for the info!
  3. hmm, excellent point. Actually the answer to your question may aswell be that the school system does suck and everyone just goes alond with the 'phads'. Maybee its just us North Americans, but i like a catchy main title that is memorable, and then a descriptive subtitle.:dunno:
  4. Common courtesy... also, what age group whould these questions apply to? Because that is very inportant.
  5. I agree, but the key word is should, common courtesy is common, but not everyone abides by it. And isn't that what this thread is really about? All of those questions would not have to be asked if people were courdious.
  6. 1) NO ... withing established perameters, ie; clothes must be worn;) 2) YES people should be allowed to feel comfortable 3) NO. common cutesy (enless instructor outlines otherwise) 4) YES. if assignment is late withought a proper excuse (example: "My collar bone was broken and seriously infected so i could not get out of the hospital for a week") then a mark of 0% should be awarded I think very few people are responding to this because it is at the very bottom of the topics list, under <ugh> politics.
  7. Sorry, i don't remember the specifics, but what i do remember is that it does not escape from the poles as matter. And it is only visible when it is pointed towards your view point. hopefully someone else can fill in this missing intormation :feedback:
  8. We can see the background radiation from the big bang, and that is as far as we can see to my knowledge.
  9. Blike Sucks: youre a very funny guy! Maybee you would have a little more credability with a proper nick? hmmm? I would looooooove to see you back up those statements you just made there. PS: I don't think a man of your age would be speaking like that. Clan up your act.
  10. snowing or ice-ing We had 1cm of solid ice and 3.8 inches of frozen snow here. Making for four hours of hard shoveling. For me the time change is novel, it changes nothing. Aside from being a little more tired and a little less tired one day per year, respectively.
  11. Ime sorry faf, I was thinking again, nasty habbit that is.
  12. Yes, dosn't the extra mass get spewed from the poles?
  13. I love things like this, just throws people off by showing them that we really don't know much about our world.
  14. I know what I am about to say may be a little different from what you were expecting but... You have friends, some with excellent computer skills, well, hack the A/V system, and brawdcast a tape of yourself speaking about all of this, even on the PA. Keep in mind that highschool is not the deciding factor of your future as everyone has been lead to believe. I am not saying you should do this, I just wonder what kind of a response would come out of it.
  15. Actually, you could look back in time 20 000 years and discover people having war. Also, chimps also have wars of their own between groups, ie; group A kills leader of group B then systematically hunts down and kills remaining members of group B. Sources: Discovery channel, National Geographic channel
  16. Accurate description Bill I am 16, 2 more years till ime gout of highschool (to do that which only the future knows), and my interests are varied, but i am here, so science is one of them, especially physics.
  17. Personally i think that billions are spent on useless science each year because scientist want to research within their interests. Who ever looks at the big picture when your immediate satisfaction is at stake. Scientists are people too. Also, a cure for AIDS might come out of the study of roach behaviour. We don't know until we try.
  18. Strife, there was a reason why this thread was started in the Pseudoscience section. Think before you speak. This :bs: is just as probable as the theory of an asteroid wiping out the dinisaurs, although much less accepted. Anyways, all this makes for some interesting pondering but there is not enoguh genuine information on the subject.
  19. And show those non-violent protestors what they are really made of. Bill, I agree with your assesment, also its not like the USA is not getting anything in return for their efforts otherwise why make such a large effort?
  20. Beacuse school work is not really that interesting, involving, challenging, and everything else intelectuals find sacred. Inteligence versus (conditioned) knowledge.
  21. My economics class. The entire coure could be tought in a week at most! That's this semester's horror story. oh, and with an average effort of 3/10 during a year (effort differs in some classes) an 80% average is easily obtained.

    Physics Question

Now lets begin the immentent discussion of C and time. What would happen to a particel if it were to be accelerate to C? I have a vague idea which is certainly incorrect, thus whats YOUR opinion?

    Physics Question

so you would see the light from the headlights not moving past their point of origin because the car is moving at C?
  24. I think that we, humanity, are not ready for this technology, mostly through ignorance. If there was a vote to be held to allow/disallow the breeding of 'perfect' clones for 'spare parts' would most certainly fail. People do not accept themselves as complex mechanisms but as mythical beings with souls, in that way cloning is some ways off. Also, ime not sure if it has been mentioned, but what about the risk of creating more devastating genetic deseases?
