so the charge would appear on the magnet itself or in an external field? If the charge appears externally, wouldn't that react with the magnetic field to produce an electromagnetic field, and become essentially an oscillator, and transmit EMF?

Interesting. Has anyone ever thought of speeding up a magnet to an as great as possible speed to see if it becomes more and more monopole?

 

Perhaps the synchronous rotation of the moon could be thought of as displaying this effect, and has resulted in its mono pole alignment with the earth if we consider the lack of rotation the "mono axis"?? Any thoughts?

Nothing "appears". The charge is already there. A magnet is a bit of matter, with protons and electrons in it, as is a current-carrying loop.
