As my short idea about the subject; light and sound are one and the same, the vibration is simply so high it deflects other vibrations, and with higher volume it generates heat, we are in the wave pathway of the sun afterall, and so when electrically emitting sound/vibration/light these waves travel like sound does aswell. If we could discern the extremely high pitch of light's micro frequency with our ears we would probably go mad during the day.

Light will travel through a vacuum; sounds won't.
