The inside casket is lead according to what I saw on TV.

When i read the title the this thread i had no idea what to expect i mean pope=zinc?

Anyway i heard on the TV that they put him in a pine box then that goes into a lead box then that goes into a oak box let stand for a few minute and there you have it perfectly cooked pope...Just wait what was the question again? :D

who would want to be in a partialy lead casket, isnt lead like the bottom of the crap, poor, metals? If i was the pope i would want a partialy copper casket that would be friggen awesome.

galvanized nail are zinc plated so they wount/shouldnt corrode, if Zn corrodes fast, why galvanize nails?

I feel sorry for the guys that have to parade him around, lead and all.

While Zinc may corrode quickly it forms an impervious oxide layer so once the first layer oxidises wich is pretty quick, it dosen't go through to the steel.
