Hmmm...... I wonder if it was a blue LED strobe. ;)

They are called Tridacna clams. It has nothing to do with electricity.

Quite ironicaly, I have just started a tropical aquarium today. Just turned the light on now. These clam doofers, is it bio luminesence or just a strangely coloured reflective surface. It looks like the later from the earlier link. What would I feed these things besides the fish I just bought.
