5614
well that really depends who you are and what you are looking for. are you a Dr in string theory looking for some light reading or a teenager who's interested in learning?
J.C.MacSwell
Hey guys, I was wondering if there's a good book on the topic of String Theory. Thanks in advance! The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene gives a good non-technical feel for the subject.
Phi for All
I like Michio Kaku's Hyperspace as well, but string theory is only part of this book.
Guest Emperor
I am not a dr. I am fairly new to the String Theory and looking for a book that will give me a good introduction but leave me well informed about the theory. Thanks guys! luc
If you want to study it seriously, try the recent "A first course in String Theory", The author is B.Zwiebach
Severian
Can anyone recommend a technical book on string theory? I mean, with lots of mathematical detail? I have a few (Wess & Bagger, Ramon etc) but have not been very impressed with them.
