Found some pretty awesome photographs of things that I thought people might be interested in! Thought maybe we could create a thread to share the more extreme stuff....

Things like the supercell (Thunderstorm with a rotating updraft.... looks pretty mental...)

Yeah, right, I've heard that before. At first I'm just investigating a low-pressure system near a big mountain, suddenly I'm physically dealing with your Smaug problem. No thanks!

 

 

 

I love it when someone is able to capture natural phenomenon like these (well, not so much the burning crater as the lightning strikes). I never have a decent camera with me when anything like this happens.

If Google Glasses / something similar kicks off then I can image it will be easier for people to capture such images!

That supercell with the lightening striking the ground is mega.
