:cool: do ya'll know the scientific classification for seaweed

CLASS: Florideophyceae

ORDER: Gigartinales

well thanx ya'll! do u know of any particular types of seaweed? if so give the name of it to me and the genus and species

The classification I gave is for iridescent seaweed, Iridaea cordata

thanx alot! i thought that cordata was only for animals? well is the type of seaweed, iridescent seaweed? and is iridaea chordata the genus and species?

cordata is not to be confused with chordata, which is a phylum for organisms with a spinal cord. yeah that's the genus and species.
